20th for my UK dealer preview so not all the same day as thought

Still not sure how I feel about the rear. Hopefully everything will make 'more sense' next week.

 

Basically looks like it has a fixed rear wing. See the light shining on the left taillight? Big openings on either side of spoiler to allow air under.
Also, from this angle front lower area looking a little "Aventador-like."

 

Would love it was called 488 “muletto leggero”

 

If all will be revealed on the 16th, what's the point of the private preview for the eligible customers on the 20th? Are we going to drive the car in a simulator

 

The 16th will be revealed on the web. The 20th will be shown live, probably.

 

I'm sure clients will have a more in-depth look at the car and maybe even a quick go at the configurator.

 

For the 488 GTB the web unveiling was also before the "private preview" held in Maranello. The real car was displayed in Maranello but for these preview at dealerships it will be virtual (Ferrari is not going to ship cars to all dealerships in the world...)
Probably only official pictures and basic information will be put on the web on the 16th though.

 

The 488VS is being showed right now to some people inside the factory

 

Interesting - I guess it's a "Very private" preview

I believe this translates in Italian to the 488 "Long Mullet". Kentucky FCA will be so stoked.

 

Just extraordinary that this company can get away with keeping its clients in the dark, all of whom must be successful individuals, knowing we will drop almost anything to be at our 'dealers' on Saturday even at short notice. The term 'dealer' was never more appropriate.

 

+1 - Being very "impatient" the wait is killing me. A simple "yes or no" would suffice so I can "move on" and make other plans

 

You know what? I'm glad in this world of instant this and that, there is something that involves genuine anticipation.

 

That's the beauty of Ferrari. They can get away with so much crap... Kind of like having a child that is a bit out of control, you really wanna kill them most of the time however you love them more than anything.

 

All car companies do this. They try and tease their new models to drive up hype and build excitement. We just don’t care when it’s Toyota or Chevy.
