A very rough unrestored car with restamped engine and a very molested vinyl interior !! Non matching engine is probably more of a handicap than the guida destra conversion.

Exactly.......I read through it and looked at the pics on the iPad......I then had to enlarge the first photo on the iPad to see the real story behind the price......What a DH....All he is going to achieve is wasting other people's time as well as his own......

I took my car to work yesterday out at Scheyville National Park where they filmed Brock, so quiet, windy Roads lovely location ,at lunch a couple of my colleagues wanted a go in the passenger seat ofcourse I obliged but after 3 quick runs It was obvious the brakes where when hot non existent is this common there’s plenty on the pads and disks like new

Some things to look into mate :

    1. the type and age of the pads
    2. brake fluid , change it to a high performance variant (the fluid should be changed periodically ayway)
    3. check the rotors for glazing (doesn't affect fading which is what you seem to be getting)
    4. check the calipers for correct operation

I would put my money on the brake fluid though the most likely suspect

Would save a lot of checking as I intimated above :p

Have you driven a 911? They are wonderful driving cars. PP and I had trouble keeping up with Mel on the Great Ocean Road a few years back. :D As with everything else I sold, I wish I'd kept it, mostly because I could have made even more money on it :p

360 brakes are appalling considering the performance on tap, it’s even worse when you consider they used the same brake setup on the first f430’s with considerable power increase. Later the CCBs were standard ofcourse.

I fitted braided lines, endless brake fluid and pads from performance friction the brakes improved quite a bit but not enough to feel totally happy with the brake performance.

quite normal for a Ferrari of the period, that's why people spend money on brake upgrades. You should be changing the brake fluid every year in any case, but unlikely to change brake performance.

If 360's have air ducting hoses to the front brakes, check that they haven't been dislodged. If no ducts, buy a set for a 360CS, they're available and easy to fit.

Otherwise slow down a bit and don't use the brakes so hard, the car will go around corners faster than you think.
