I'm ordering parts for a major (1995 456). Here is a list from Ricambi:

    4 x O-RING
    4 x CAM SEAL
    4 x GASKET
    2 x VALVE COVER GASKET
    4 x CAM BOLT O-RING
    2 x TIMING BELT
    2 x TENSIONER ROLLER
    2 x FUEL FILTER
    2 x AIR FILTER
    1 x BELT
    1 x ALT BELT
    2 x OIL FILTER

Here is the list of the last Ferrari Dealer Major. Looks like the dealer did more than the Ricambi kit. Not sure what the differences are. Will try to run those down.

What else do I need? Water pump? Anything else I should do "since I was in there?" Water pump? Hoses?

Your last major (according to the dealer invoice) included a change of the lower drive bearings 170787, presumably with the Ferrari ones since Hill versions had not been released at that time. The front cover gaskets and stuff are shown in the second image you posted. That major must've been a while ago with the tech name listed. He's has been on his own for many many years now.

One other note... your dealer invoice has the tensioner bearing + arm update kit (70000933). You wouldn't need that again, because you'd simply use 2 x PT550 (or 171057, if you bought from a dealer)

LOL. I was pretty sure someone would chime in on that tech... It had another belt service since then from a non-dealer but the parts list was not as detailed.

What about hoses or the water pump? Should I change those?

If you feel like pulling the intake manifold, check the hose that runs under it and replace if needed.
While you're at it, send the injectors out to be cleaned.

Good call. Maybe a full silicone hose kit? Where would you get that? Also, can I rebuild the water pump?

    Ken,

The full silicone hose kit can be had from Scuderia Rampante but it's quite expensive and some guys on here haven't given it the best reviews in terms of quality. I was speaking with Samco in England about having them make up a set for the 456 (they do them for 550s and other Ferrari models) but I'd need at least 15 commitments from buyers before they would do them up.

So if you don't do all of your hoses, at least do the long one under the intake. That baby lives a nasty life.

That kit does not appear to have the long hose under the intake, which is silly not to include, but the price isn't bad for the others.

I will argue not to buy the SRI hoses. I have installed them on two of my cars, and despite following the almost nonexistent directions carefully, they leak. On a 456, that means pulling the intake manifold (and replacing the SRI hose with something that doesn't leak.)
They're a BIG waste of money.

What would you guys use for the hose under the intake manifold?

Either get a factory one or else call AW Italian and ask if they happen to offer a silicone hose for below the intake.

Also, forgot to mention but check the motor mounts to see if they are the later 550/575 type with the "wings" on the ends. You'll want to upgrade those right away so as to not risk breaking off the oil pressure sender if the old mounts are collapsed.
