Ferrari 488 Pista

Cool post. I'm told Pista is 100%.

No other car maker generates so much fun.

 

So fer9000 had it all along.

 

Car is gorgeus, but:

-90kg means "up to -90kg", in lightest spec, with CF body panels and CF wheels.

 

Certainly, but on the other hand the reference 488 GTB weight is also in lightest configuration (there might be less weight difference between GTB configurations though).

 

Thanks. Looks absolutely delicious. And in the flesh it will look even better, they always do. Can't wait to get stuck into the spec process.

 

Are you planning on switching it up from TDF blu?

 

Carbon connecting rods is a ***********, lightweight is written, someone reported it wrong. Happy for the Inconel exhaust, even if just manifolds

 

Well, it is a VS car, If had a choice, I will surely go with all CF parts and lightweight option, makes no sense to buy a 488 Pista and have it as heavy as a GTB

 

But... you told me you won't getting it ... or maybe the frog didn't understand

 

I really like the car. I think this is a very good design, functional but not excessive...Not sure what the problem with Pista is. We had special series cars called “stable” (Scuderia) and “special” (Speciale) which you could associate with animals and pizza, so why would a car called “Track” be strange? I think the car will be a big success. I would have preferred a more bespoke interior and I am not at all sure it can match the 6:47 of the GT2 RS at the Ring but who cares really? I don’t think we buy these cars for bragging rights, Ferrari is in a league of its own

Are those numbers correct? Not much difference between a GTB and the top-tier 991 in terms of downforce, even if the latter comes with a giant wing..

 

BRAVO!!!! You won't regret it, lovely launch RED, in Italy we love every Ferrari, but we are in love with reds and yellows above all, The colours of Modena and Italy racing cars. I love particularly Blue pozzi too, but for this Pista Red is perfect. We found really weird how much people abroad love so much Grey Ferraris, they are stunning, but RED is the colour of passion

It is also said that GT2 RS produce that downforce at max speed, but in reality its fast Ring time is mainly due to weight balancing, 4WS, torque and spec Tyres.

 

Only things out of place are the bulky mirrors.

Would have been nice if they used GTE style mirrors with CF base in keeping with the CF detail in the rear fender scoops and front grille.

 

Maybe they reserve this for LE

 

By the way, leaked pictures are being removed from Instagram and the Autocar.jp article is gone.

Not sure yet, have a few ideas to play with.

 

F-chat members are unhappy about the name, Pista. When given the chance to name the only thing they ever created of real importance, these same members probably chose to give their child the same name as them or a great-aunts name. How original and creative is Junior?
