That’s a hardcore car. I bought a Challenge Starsdale new, and that car was a handful and almost undriveable on the street, but a great track car.

98 RON/MON is about 93 AKI. I am surprised a racer is unaware of that...

Ferrari is not McLaren and the hierarchy stands.

I wouldn't say a disappointment myself, but nowhere close to a LaFerrari. It's the physical order of things after all.

This car is going to be fun (and stressful) to spec. Can't wait! I'll be at Geneva on the 6th to see the car in the flesh.

IMO one of the best Ferrari designs in a long time. Like it very much!

You should really drive a TdF.
Everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinion. Mine is that the TdF may well be the greatest of all modern Ferraris. The throttle response and steering is like that of an eight cylinder mid-engine Speciale. The extra torque and horsepower makes you smile broadly. It is a car that is equally at home on the track, the twisties, and concours. It’s a date night car that can go straight to the track.

I recently was at Sonoma tracking with two other TdF owners and all three of us were grinning ear to ear at how well the car performs on the track. For a front engine 12, I find this amazing!

Please tell me you’ve never actually driven the car. I’ve yet to come across anyone who has with anything vaguely resembling a tepid response to the car.

unless you happen to be taking a shower in prison...

I'm not a huge fan of the back of the 488 Pista, but I haven't seen it in person either.

I'm sticking with the 458 Italia for now - and showering at home with my girlfriends in front of me.

The 488 Pista Aperta should be just as stunning.

Not sure. At least in Switzerland, my dealer was telling me yesterday that they are still waiting for Ferrari allocation on their proposed list.

FWIW, the TDF is my favorite current/recent Ferrari. Loved the F12/not a fan of the 812.

To be one better than the McLaren 720S.

    488 Pista: 721 PS / 711 BHP
    720S: 720 PS / 710 BHP

I dont envy laferrari or enzo since I am sure tdf is the best current Ferrari can offer.
It has the old race car traits that demands driver skill and makes every hair stand up when driven properly.
tdf is what every focused ferrari should aim for. A brutal and difficult machine that dont care for lap time or quater mile.
It is just special in every way that even its imperfection makes perfect sense as a whole package.

Will everyone who attended the Dealer Preview for the Pista get an allocation? Just looking for everyones thoughts on this? Especially in different markets!

Ferrari has sent a list to all dealers in Switzerland. Any name that is the factory list already has an allocation. Names that are not on the factory list but are on the dealers list are still pending. That is my understanding.

I think the car is a huge success. Thinking back to all the launches of the last 20 years it is the first car that has such a consistent positive response from the client base. Even LaF and TDF got a mixed reaction initially (and we all love them now)
    Well done Ferrari

F12 TDF has a faster Fiorano lap time than the F40, F50, and Enzo.
    https://www.topgear.com/car-news/what-are-the-fastest-ferraris-to-lap-fiorano-circuit#26
It is two seconds faster than a 488 (Which also beats the F40, F50 and Enzo).
    https://www.topgear.com/car-news/what-are-the-fastest-ferraris-to-lap-fiorano-circuit#25
And only 1.3 seconds behind the LaFerrari.

No info on the 812 Superfast, but I bet it's as fast as LaF.

The F12 TDF is the best regular production car Ferrari has yet made, IMO. It will be interesting to see where the 488 Pista lands.
