    They just said they have the largest shareholder now over the brand so let's see.

    Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover are all producing fantastic cars since they were bought by the asian companies like Geely and Tata. This is only a minority stake, but it can only be a good thing.

    Wouldn't those amount of shares be technically called majority since they have the largest shareholder of the company? I know that majority should more than 66%, but still they did say the have the most shares in the company.

    They haven't - Someone was obviously trying to be clever and missed by the proverbial country mile!

    Maybe they will learn from Aabar's mistakes when they had a 9% stake in Daimler and lost money on the deal while the stock actually went up through derivatives: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-abudhabi-daimler-stake/exclusive-derivatives-led-to-aabar-ditching-daimler-stake-sources-idUSBRE89E0V420121015

    They got out of their stake in the Mercedes F1 team (40% ownership?) at the end of 2012 just before they went on their F1 winning streak and Niki got in with 10% after that when he jointed and Toto got in with his 30% stake a few months after in early 2013.
