I'd pay for this depending on who the commentators are.

Agreed. They need a strong commentary team that is familiar with the current format, preferably recently retired F1 drivers.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

    8 to 12 bucks....

The F1 streaming service will be made available in four different languages (English, French, German and Spanish) and will appear in nearly two dozen markets at launch (including Germany, France, USA, Mexico, Belgium, Austria, Hungary and much of Latin America).

Pricing for F1 TV Pro will be offered on a monthly basis of USD $8-$12. A less expensive, non-live subscription tier, F1 TV Access will provide live race timing data and radio commentary, as well as extended highlights of each session from the race weekend.

I'd be in provided (as I assume) sessions are archived so that I don't have to get up incredibly early to watch quali and/or the race live and I can just log in and watch.

I like it for the increased camera options and timing/scoring data, but would really like to see a way to make it easily stream the main race feed to my TV. They need an app that is downloadable and works with Apple TV, chromecast, roku, etc.

I'm definitely in for that. Its about time, MotoGP VideoPass has been great, I've wanted F1 to do this for years.

Given how long it has taken them to provide basic OTT video I doubt they will be ready soon with a ROKU version but it would be great if they could. I'll settle for iPad viewing at first.

I'm interested but it depends on the price and if I can use the service in different countries as I travel a lot.

Also, it should have the ability to look races already run and not just "live".

So the devil is in the details. However, it's better than commercial TV which sucks in the US.

$8-12/ month + no mention of any ability to watch races after they've aired = strong pass on this one

Correct. Not available in the UK and we will continue to be robbed by the thieving criminals at sky for now.

That sucks. UK has one of the biggest group of F1 fans in the world, not to mention the thousands of folks directly involved with the teams there.

I am not pleased. No UK, due to Sky, and no Brazil (which I have VPN), due to Globo.

Unless they get the Sky crew, it will suck.

I don't know the particulars, would only guess that current contracts might prevent even F1 from airing races in some markets. Maybe that's why SKY has it locked up in the UK?

Not being funny, but I have Sky F1 HD, have done since it launched, and I have absolutely no idea what it costs me, my Sky bill is my Sky bill, the total each month is £120 or thereabouts but I have every channel bar the porno stuff, and five separate boxes in various rooms. On top of that, I have the BT sport subscription, which again, I have no idea what the cost is, I just asked them to add it to my BT bill, which gets taken quarterly. I think of you like the sport and would enjoy the channel, you shouldn’t let a few bucks get in the way. The powers that Be are not going to look at your comments and think, ‘poor devils, let’s not rip em off, give it for free’, they are going to charge what the market will stand, just like any other business. That’s why there are expensive versions of things, and less so...... Rolex/timex, ferrari/Ford, Boeing/paper planes!

You can't connect your TV to a laptop (e.g. HDMI-to-USB/Thunderbolt)?
