True, but at least I can tell whether or not there is a car in the lane next to me without having to rely on a sensor and a light in the mirror!
So, speaking of 4-doors, Giugiaro and GM, I've always had a niggling suspicion that ItalDesign's Incas from 1986, which was badged an Oldsmobile, was not a casual occurrence. Could it be Giuigiaro was consulted on design? I say this because, apart from the obvious, I find a lot of the traits of the Incas on the 1991-1996 Ninety-Eight: b;acked-out A-pillar, smooth flat sides and pronounced high and straight shoulder line running front to back and the wraparound rear lights. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login I don’t want to disappoint you, and letting the truth get in the way of a good story, but no, Giugiaro had nothing to do with those Oldsmobile’s. Giugiaro did his cars as a means of trying to get contracts from GM like Pininfarina had done with the Allante. Bertone did likewise with his Corvette proposal. But they were done on their own with no GMDesign input. I was blessed that I was able to meet Messrs Giugiaro, Bertone & Pininfarina when they visited us in Michigan on a number of occasions. Olds 98 proposal from that program.

Mercedes really need to move on from their banana inspired belt-line designs and pinched butts. Also, is the matte paint fad still a thing? Very cool car, love the taillights. I like that it's a fastback, but without a high rear deck. Very 70's.

Looks like your 'paint' samples are displayed on a very warm gray, almost tan, surface. Assume there's a reason... we have tried to use a more neutral gray without going 'cool'. Comments? I assume the colors on my monitor are fairly accurate...
Excessive front and rear overhang appear to have been left off of this design. Interesting result there!
I like the way they designed the back. Sadly the SUV frenzy likely means no sedan... Image Unavailable, Please Login
The color saturation is a bit off in that photo. The color studio used a slightly cooler grey on their color chip board display. There were several sources of light available both natural & artificial to view colors under all conditions. There is also a small 'patio' for viewing color chips outdoors in natural sunlight.
This is one of my favourites. OK, not current and not "production" (unless 2 counts), but still one of the nicest 4-doors I have seen. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
