Its scary how "civil" the 488 spider looks behind the Pista!
Ahahaha I love the "Civil" word to qualify the non-hardcore basis car. Yes, the hardcore Ferraris are a hell of fuel-injected killing military machines !
Anyone have a close up of the Specification plaques in the frunk, would love to see what the actual details “options” etc are?? I do know both are stunning! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The TDF was and is an amazing car and design. Have to say, the Pista has a similar impact for me. Ferrari is some company, and I now see that their design language takes a moment of reflection, but overall, they are still by a distance the very very best.
Here some pics from the interior out of Tims video. Wondering about the different door handles. I like „RS“-style straps but why they were used only on the driver side? Do not like the look of the carbon rims at all. They look too drug dealer bling imo. Add this to the almost certainty they will be damaged by the first pot hole you come across they will not be on my option list. The rims on the red car look brilliant and really suit the car. To reduce the unsprung weight and the gains it gives is not worth the other visual and practicality disadvantages imo.
Yes, different exhaust design and also made out of inconel. Ferrari says it's about 8 dB louder across the rev range.
The silver looks truly stunning. I think the silvers and grey's are really going to highlight the curves in this car.
Per the specs, the manifolds (up to the turbos (?)) are Inco and of different design, and where the design can benefit most from Inco's high temp strength. The manifold also appears to be split 1-4 and 2-3 to the twin scroll turbo. Not sure if this is different from the "regular" 488. There seems to be no specific mention of the exhaust system (material and design) for the portion downstream of the turbos, or did I miss something?
So no more exposed aluminum floor structure, and associated complaints about in unsightly welds, as in past specials?
