Is taking the rear windscreen out a risky proposition? It sure would seem so.

It always amazes me when I see poor quality repairs like that, when, with a little extra effort it could be done correctly the first time. If the skills or knowledge isn’t there send it to someone who does have them. Nice work guys. The car will be nice when it is finished and repaired correctly.

The trick with the rear window is pushing it into the cabin of the car, not outwards. The gasket holds it in with no glue, just oil the inside lip of the gaskets and walk it out.

There unrelated to the glass work. We removed them to repair the crash damage.

Pure greed. With collision work if you can't bring it back to pre-accident condition, don't touch it. Think of how fast the bent metal with crumble if it gets into another accident, faster then the airbags can react I'm sure.

Beautiful work as always, thank you for posting. I pray the owner knew what he was buying when he got the car, and this isn't a big surprise.

I used that paint stripper on my FJ40 restoration.....awesome product that worked great on removing overspray on fasteners, bolts, rubber, plastic, etc. Just don't get it on your skin!

Thank you, yes he was aware.

Chemical resistant gloves and a mask are a must, really nasty stuff.

Truly fantastic work. But with hot glue and card you’d be done by now - One can almost see why the other guy did it ;-)
