Greetings all I am the new owner of a 458, and am moving from the north east to Windermere. Looking through Fchat the community is very active. I have taken my Viper ACR to a few of the local cars and coffee and am happy to see so many car enthusiasts. Wanted to ask the ins and out of Ferrari ownership in the Orlando area. Looks like the dealer is strong - are there good indipendant Fcar shops locally as well? Who is the trusted Detailer / ceramic coating shop in the area? I get to the track quite a bit - who is the trusted wheel and tire shop for mounting and balancing? Thanks in advance! Scott View attachment 362614
Welcome to the area. Windermere is a nice spot that still has some charm. There are quite of few active Fchatters in the area. Do a Cars and coffee most months near celebration. And there is a big show coming up in April. Couple independents around, Bruce at Maranello Autosport is well regarded.

Welcome, I'm in NE Florida, but use the Ferrari of Central Florida dealership. Never had an issue, a bunch of great guys there, certainly recommended if you're okay with Ferrari service versus independents. I use Superior Detailer LLC in Orlando on Pineloch Ave. Steve did the initial film and coatings on my 458, and will be working on my 488 shortly, he's very detail oriented, takes his time, and does excellent work IMO. Outstanding - I noticed his display at the Lake Nona C&C and the black 488 he just completed. I’ll reach out to him.
We also have an active FCA chapter and will look forward to meeting you at one of our upcoming events. FCA - Greater Orlando
If you are looking for an independent shop. I am located about 45 minutes from you. If I can help with anything please let me know. I have a small shop in Osteen called Speed Works. I have over 30 experience and I have had my own shop open for 13 years. I can be reached at 407-688-1120. My name is Bill.
And while I haven't used Bill's shop myself yet, he neglected to point out that Speed Works often provides track support and can arrange coaching for Challenge cars and drivers at various track events around the Southeast. These guys are the real deal.
As another data point, Bruce Anderson of Maranello Autosport (located in Eustis) does great work and always goes the extra mile to help a customer. He's the real deal (formerly with Ferrari of Ft. Lauderdale and Ferrari of Central Florida), does track support, and is the sort of independent mechanic we all hope to find for our exotic toys.
Just be careful driving in Windermere. I had a girlfriend there for a while and the local constabulary have the speed limits set absurdly low, 15MPH through the "downtown" area, and they hand out tickets like hotcakes. BHW
Will do - we have been part time here in town for 10 years. Only run in with the law we have had is on 535 out buy the priviate school.
