This car is ugly. This looks like a boy racer car. Everything they put on devalues the car not increase the value. Its a classic car not a honda... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Minor stuff that can be removed. Take out the boom box, the extra horsey in the engine bay, put on some 16" OEM's from e bay and it's original. You can go a little further and paint the spoiler and side skirts black and remove the paint from the calipers...all minor stuff. ....at least it didn't have an old cell phone antenna drilled through the glass....that would be costly to replace lol Shamile Freeze...Miami Vice! Lol! Agreed- wish that person had invested in say a nice kevlar clutch instead of gangsta rims. I think rims alone cost like $3k to find on ebay, maybe less? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
16" rims are pretty easy to find....dated coded tires....not so much lol Shamile Freeze...Miami Vice! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Well that is not a collector car. U bought a classiche for a reason right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Fine....you can take my classiche 16" rims and I'll suffer with those non-period correct 512TR rims. ....the things I do for the forum...I tell ya Shamile Freeze...Miami Vice! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

First low mileage 512 TR I have seen under $200,000 in some time in the US. Less than 10K miles, a 1993, asking $180,000. Probably needs a service since there is no mention of it. Also has goofy wheels. First crack in the ice or a bargain? (Or a car with issues?) https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=471286382 EDIT: VIN shown is for a 1990 TR, not a 512, so there may be something fishy going on here. And the phone number is for a sandwich shop in Hermosa Beach.
Cheapest in the US is a 169k one with 60k miles on ebay right now, wish it was 40k miles! Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don't live far from there. If you want me to take a look at it for you, let me know. Maybe I will grab a sandwich in the process
This is the same car: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/1993-512tr-lamborghini-houston.303101/ The owner used to post on F-chat. Car has been for sale since November, if I recall correctly. Needs a major.
So the last FChat purchaser user named Homestrong does live in Hermosa Beach. So I guess it is the real deal. Just wondrering why the VIN is incorrect. Also seems to be using all of the pictures from when he purchased it in 2010, including him taking delivery. Ad also looked funny since there is no specific description of the car, just a boiler plate history of the 512 TR.
Anyways let’s go try to get this thread on track. Testarossa prices sinking? I would say they have since 2014-2015 although the asking price is still high the seling price, if at all is quite different, summer seems to bump prices up but come october/November... 512TR prices are not sinking but are not selling much either. I am replacing my tr with a 512 and i am seriously considering flying home to france and import it if it stays that way. The 512 is definitely worth 30-50k more than a regular testarossa but not double the price, that’s insane. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Maybe I'm missing something, isn't a 512 either a TR or an M? Or are you referring to a TR as a Testarossa. I don't see any reason why a 512TR would be worth even 30-50k more than a normal Testarossa, which are the ones to buy right now. Along with the 512M's if you can find them at a decent price. I had no money when a beautiful green 512M was available for $100k. Still kicking myself for that now.
Tr=testarossa something like 7,000 produced 512tr , 1,000 produced, better diff, lower center gravity, 428bhp, better clutch, stiffen chassis... easily worth more than the tr by sheer value mechanically speaking but in the USA they go for 200k or so, Europe like 150k 512m-well u know that one...i think 500 made. Questionable styling to ME but worth a lot of money for sure Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The tr imo are undervalued at this time. Yes 512 tr out performs the tr but I really prefer the lines of the tr over the 512 tr at end of the day the 512 will always command more $ don't try to buy the cheapest 512 both are amazing
Totally agree. The TR is a great car which one day will command insane prices... right now she kinda is the bitcoin of collector car as she really went too hight too fast...2010 likely 40k 2014-180k. Too quick, it is, imo finding its correct prices now (i.e support) before a continued steady growth in years to come Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
