I am interested in investing in one before the become crazy. A lot of the things I learnt form the 246 I can apply on the 308GT4 also. What do you guys think?

I really like the more pure Euro spec version with the short chrome bumpers and in metallic colors such as blue, silver etc. They’ve already made a price jump. Get the best most complete car you can afford.

    good morning,
we own both and I am still surprised how differently they are. In fact I really love both. The 3ltr V8 is wonderful, the speed is better than necessary and it corners really nice. lots of power and still - the look is sooo different! The leather interior is stitched far up to the ceiling - what a „crap car“. I would not exspect them to raise way more, and still I have paid quite a lot for mine - and have never regretted it!

mine is 1974 black with ivory interior.

What a gorgeous combination. Many designers (not all) prefer the more advanced “cab forward”proportions of the 308GT4 over the 308GTB. I have to say I prefer the GT4. I also like the Bertone/Gandini design. It reflects Bertone’s advanced thinking of the time. BTW, I’ll be at my friend’s house on Friday for his 70’s party. He owns the Stratos Zero and it’s in his house!

Amazing!!! If it was all digital, most of it would have been lost! You’re right, this needs to be saved and preserved for future generations!

I don't understand why the Italians are stupid enough to scatter that treasure. Marcello Gandini remains the absolute master of design. His creations have something more. I think it is much more difficult to draw an angular body and he mastered this perfectly. BTW, I love the 308 GT/4.

Before my friend bought the Stratos Zero, he called me and asked my advice since it was a huge investment and commitment. I told him that the Stratos Zero was the equivilant Of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Water. It truly is the icon and breakaway of modern design and the turning point. An inspiration for all designers!

Here’s last night at my friend’s “70’s” party celebrating Gandini and the Stratos Zero. Beautiful Miura! The Miura was the transition that still had one foot in the classical era. The Zero was a complete breakaway!

Freeman, that was an extraordinary party. Could you post more photos of the Zero in your friend’s living room? I saw that car only once, at the Concorso Italiano, 20-some years ago, when the event was still at the Quail Lodge.

    Great photo, lovely combination!

I find the 308GT4 to be an exceptionally handsome car. The extra interior space is an advantage, and the proportions of the design look perfect to me. What it lost in sheer beauty and raw vintage racer feel from the Dino, it made up for in torque, smoothness and everyday usability. A sleeper and a future classic, if ever there was one. I am glad to hear that they finally are getting some of the recognition they deserve.

I think so. Owner says it's the original color.
