I took my Dino out today with my wife. We exercised the Dino through our regular route thru Lake Sherwood and Hidden Valley which are near us. Perfect roads for the Dino! This route is right at our back door. All country/ canyon roads that make you feel like you could be anywhere! It keeps reminding me what an amazing machine the Dino is! I’m also enjoying the Stratos induction system which really brings the potential to the Dino. Great throttle response and zero fuel starvation through even the tightest, fastest turns. Steering is light and predictable. Also, the sound of the Dino going thru the gears was epic!

First drive this year after a period with terrible spring weather in Denmark. Started with no issues after 5 months of standby. Amazing how this car gets me smiling immediately. The Dino was joined by a new horse in the stable, my sons new arrival; a Kadett B from 1971.

Safe drive to all. Best Peter

Thanks for that. I am suffering withdrawal symptoms just now, but I get mine back from its annual service etc. on Monday - can't wait!!

    Lucky boy!

Do you notice a significant handling difference between the two, Campis vs. Cromodoras?

What colour is the blue one?

Image Unavailable, Please Login FEELING FERRARI. Last night, the local sports car club showed an evocative and really beautiful movie on Ferrari in the early days (even the ladies loved it), inspired, I went out today in the Italia, trying to feel if any of Marquis Alfonso de Portago’s memory still ran through its digital veins. It was easier in the Dino, which I took out after the Italia. The 246’s link to the Ferraris of the glory days was palpable. I love it.

Cheers, Andres, on your Dino drive and your spectacular collection! We still have lots of road salt everywhere, so my Dino must sleep a bit longer.
    Best regards, Fred

Hello,Fred. I’m glad we don’t have salt on our roads here, but we do have torrential monsoon rains and risk of flooding, so I keep track of the weather in the rainy season. In compensation, you have wonderful roads to enjoy your cars on, so I am envious!

    Best,

    Andres

    Andres,
As always, you are very kind and humble. I must tell you that, in addition to the road salt, we suffer (in some cases year-round) with the potholes and road heaves caused by the ice, snow, cold and salt. We are the crazy ones here. You are living in paradise, my good friend! Regards, Fred p.s.: A wonderful driving season to you! f

Yes, I think we do, and maybe the same as Shawn's GTS (see above), although perhaps that is a little bit darker? I think mine is Blu Dino Metallizzato. However, Kevin, who restored it in 2000, has it down in his records as Blu Chiaro, but all the Blu Chiaro cars I have seen (in photos only) look lighter. What colour do you reckon yours is?

It's always difficult to be sure from a photo, but I would say that yours and mine are the same colour, which tends to confirm my belief that mine is also Blu Dino Metallizzzato.

It is certainly not Blu Chiaro as applied to Dinos (see below), but I believe that Blu Chiaro may have been changed to a different, darker hue - similar to Blu Dino Metallizzato - on later cars (see photo of 328 below), so it is possible that my car could have been painted this later version of Blu Chiaro, which would accord with Kevin's records.

    Andres,
Your photo captured the pure essence of the Dino profile! As for me, our area narrowly missed a potentially devastating ice storm yesterday. Needless to say, the Dino is still slumbering. Soon, I hope, the hibernation will end! Regards,
    Fred

Thank you, Fred. After driving new sports cars, the Dino is quite a revelation still. So small, so responsive, such lovely lines. I like the profile too.

I am glad the ice storm avoided you. Enjoy Spring when it finally comes.
