    1972 gts.
    Emergency brake cable touches the exhaust connection with the headers before it enters the plastic cable guide at the left rear wheel. If one notices the eye is at the level of the exhaust connection. This car is original owner car and has never been altered. Is this the way it is?

    Not at all uncommon but excessive touching could point to collapsed engine mounts.
