That would be total approximate production for all variants......Pista, Pista Aperta and Pista LE. Going forward getting an allocation on the latter two will only get progressively harder.

    it's a joke isn't it ?

In France as many allocations (150) of Pista as of speciale
    We can expect 2500/3000 Pista

I am being told that end of April I will know. I said to the dealer if I cant get the car in 2019 I am out. In the meantime plenty other distractions to keep me occupied.

Numbers that have been circulated here (I have no clue about the original source nor accuracy) were hinting at a similar number (around 2700 -2900) for the Pista compared to the Speciale but a significant increase for the spider (which would not be numbered) compared to the Speciale Aperta. And then a rumoured LE, so alltogether that could easily reach a 4500 total (considering Ferrari was able to sell 350 70th anniversary cars...)

No confirmation yet but they estimate base price is roughly 690k US dollars. With options easily extra 150- 200k. If I'm not mistaken tax roughly 80% depending on engine size. My 812 msrp is about 35k cheaper. Not only are cars here almost double the cost compared to the US so are the option prices.

Most here got in the position to buy a "standard 488" by not enjoying what they had and wanting more.

Hey Arnie. Don’t feel too bad. I’m in the same boat. Was told I needed to get a lusso which I wasn’t interested in. Looks like my only hope is we go into a global recession like Circa 2008-09 and people will drop out. Lol.

Some easy numbers - Ferrari sells approximately 2500 cars per year in the US, this all models. Do you really think the Pista will represent more than 10% per year?

Actually it probably will; if the Pista is produced during two years and its production is expected to be around 2800 for the coupe, that's 1400 per year i.e. 14% considering a 10000 cars total yearly production.

I'm just looking at the US market. It will in fact be limited when you consider the total output.

Ild like to make you feel better. Even if you buy the Lusso, take the hit and all the losses you will still buy the PISTA half the price we would over here. The only thing going for us is that 5 years ago one could say that a Ferrari represented a house. Fortunately of unfortunately for some the Ferrari will only buy you Half a house,we have had an explosion on house prices

Dealers operate according to Ferrari's rules. Your all-in approach isn't enough. You should have gone for everything: Portofino, 488 GTB, Spider, PIsta, GTC4Lusso, T, 812 Superfast. Also, I'm not sure if Maserati helps your Ferrari goals. Which Porsche dealership did you work with? Manual GT3 is same as PDK GT3 for allocations. It's just an option. The 2019 Cayenne Turbo also looks significantly worse, but I think the best SUV is the Range Rover.

Hahaha funny enough my wife wants the new Maserati Levante Trofeo :p Agreed you have to play ball, we can kind do the same thing at my company regarding the type of clients we work with now. Regardless I feel just lucky and blessed to be in a position to even have these cars and be considered for a Pista. When my dad comes to visit he is constantly reminding me of my own humbling beginnings.

Today's Car Magazine review of the Pista says that production will be 3500

Good review as well, it is a shame about the weather.

Looking at RACE filings, US accounts for 1/3 of global sales. If 3500 is total production, that's approx 1160 Pistas for the US.
36 dealers in the US, 32 cars each in average. Obviously not all dealers get same allocations.
Ferrari makes approx 4500 sports V8/yr so over 18 months, 3500 would be realistic
