I know it's off topic but I feel that your vertical vehicle storage deserves its own thread or explanation. Very cool. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
The accepted number online is 44 Fayence Yellow cars for North America. The color looks great and coordinates well with the obligatory PCCB calipers. As far we know, Fayence Yellow was created for the Carrera GT and has not been used on any other Porsche model, which cannot be said about any of the other standard colors (GT Silver, Seal Grey, Black, Basalt Black, Guards Red). This PPI is being undertaken at an off-site location, I wish my personal warehouse was quite so impressive.
There appears to be a forklift on the far right of the frame behind the blue 911 and what I think is a blue C2 Corvette. I dont know anything about forklifts really, so I have no idea if one that size (looks to be about like the ones they have at Sams and other warehouse stores) is capable of lifting a car safely 30 feet into the air. I would love to hear more about this set up. Surely someone here knows more. Its begging for a good group shot of lots of cars loaded into it.
Rushing out of Algar, I didn't have time to admire the silver one in their showroom. Hopefully it's still there when I pick up my car tomorrow.
I am seeking Carrera GTs off-market for a number of private party buyers. Please reach out to [email protected], thanks!

Indeed, yesterday was a very special day! As mentioned previously, I sourced this Fayence Yellow (1 of 44 USA cars) '05 for a client of mine, and I couldn't have been happier upon taking delivery of the car. It has exceeded my expectations, and confirmed my intuition that the previous owners of this particular example took incredible care of the car. Here are some photos from the delivery process... enjoy! Thanks for the photos, but the surroundings are kind of depressing. It showcases one of the greatest Pcars of all time and it isn't even that old. The sad part is that dealership lot is full of Pcars and only two of which are 911s (both red). The rest are SUVs, Panameras, or Boxsters. Oh how times have changed.
IMO yellow is the ultimate color for CGT. 44 yellow out of the entire froduction or US cars? Sterling how many red cars? Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Fayence Yellow car is now at our trusted local detailer receiving a full ceramic coating detail, can't wait to get some pictures of the finished product. I am seeking another "colorful" CGT (Red, Yellow, or PTS), and currently have an ultra-low mile GT Silver / Dark Natural Grey car available.
Joe do you know if the factory ever painted part of the mag wheel design yellow to match the body color? Thought I saw that on one at Champion Porsche FL when they were new...
Sure! The Carrera GT's that have this option from the factory always look much better than those that have had the wheels painted afterwards (and thus, generally, don't feature the OEM two-tone look of the GCB wheels).
Drove 100 miles this weekend. Its amazing how effortless the car becomes after miles. You start out intimidated every time and then after just a little while its like driving an extremely fast planted boxer with a godly soundtrack. There may be more rare supercars but IMHO there arent any that are objectively "better" 3rd gear to redline is all it takes to become a true CGT believer. They really do look fantastic in Yellow. I saw one at rennsport years ago in yellow that was dirty and it stained my view for a while until I saw a shinny bright super clean one. Great color for it.
Great summary! I think the best sports cars and supercars grow on you as you drive them more and get into a flow with the car. If they are immediately easy and accessible, there won't be any "reward" factor to mastering the car.
Some for collecting, some for driving... Hoping to get some proper photos of our latest Carrera GT find, this car, today! Image Unavailable, Please Login
