I could barely comprehend what that first woman in the tower was saying. Guess you guys get used to accents.
Airplanes flying sideways at Narita again - seems to happen quite often. When they laid the place out, they should have aligned the runways about 30 degrees to the right of where they did! That's the highest percentage of go-arounds I've ever seen in a video of this type. And these were all large airplanes - just think what it would have been like in a 737!
Yes, that is my question as well to Lou747. You do most of your flying in the Far East and the accents are strong. How do you distinguish what they are saying, with your lives and a million pounds of aircraft and cargo on the line? Thanks!
You should hear Iraqi controllers. They don't even know what they're supposed to tell you, much less when they do say something correct, have it make sense.
French female controllers were the best. Fell in love with them just from their voices on a regular basis.
Lou, thank you for taking the time to make and share your videos. They are interesting and insightful and offer a glimpse into a world most here cannot access.
re understanding controllers.... no need to go to the other side of the world... the NE corridor DC to Boston.... they speak a foreign language :=)... they are hard to understand
