It's not 80's music lol. Her look and theme of the album and videos was all 1980's .

...meaning that era is coming back in popular culture.

Who knew about a Delorean until back to the future brought it out in pop culture.

The Testarossa is a pop culture car and its in again.

What was the market last year is not today. Do I say it's up...no, I said the era is back in style. When an era is back in style...all things from that time go up.

We're arguing that a tr is only worth 100k+ -
Wasn't the start of their thread arguing that a tr is only a 50k + - car?

The only time you're going you get something cheap is in bad times. You can wait it out with cash in hand and be the contrarian.

    ...up to you.

I'm not trying to hype up the car or talk values up. I have 64k miles on my Testarossa and counting. Everyday I drive it, the value goes down. Ask me if I care?

Nat and I certainly don't have the power to bring prices down :) Nobody can do that. We are just stating actual sales statistics/figures vs what people "feel" the cars are worth.

I've traded/watched many markets for almost 3 decades. Good traders trade the numbers that are actually in front of them........not the numbers that they wish were in front of them.

Hang on to that white/white TR of yours. That is a keeper!

    Exactly!

I have a business that makes money...the cars are for fun.

One can sit on a fence and say see....the values went down...or kick themselves and say geez...the values went up.

Stop thinking about going up to the hot chick...do it! She'll either smile or roll her eyes.

I see cars the same way.

Summer of 2015 there would have been a bidding war over a car like that, it would have been purchased for 120-140 then put up for sale for $180k. The market on the high production "classics" has come down a ways from then. There are some guys out there that lost some money on those antics.

    Where did you find that?

I've not seen listing under 99k on Car Gurus and 86k on e bay.

Do you have a link? I would like to see the condition.

Yes that's USD. You guys are upset that I can find a testarossa under $70k? Strange...
And why the hell would I share my sources with you? So you can scoop it up and resell it ? Sorry where I'm from if you want someone to make you money, you pay them a commission. Or at least offer me a finders fee.

Nobody is upset; i found one for 30k all beat up on ebay.
If u could provide some value to the discussion and insight and actual cars then this would be much more interesting.

Here's one I bought for my friend for under $65k. Ran great before the service and he did the belts on it the day it arrived (took a few days with replacing all hoses too) for around $2000 in parts while a lot of you are handing them over to dealerships and shops for a $7k bill (or more). Some people wrench others cut the checks. Some people pay a lot some people pay a little. Whatever floats your boat.

Not aggressive at all. I'm the one being called names by grown men and I'm the one being told you can't buy a running and not previously wrecked TR for $62k by grown men on this forum. Well I have bought them for that price and I can buy more. So if defending myself of false accusations is being aggressive ok I'm aggressive. o_O

Dude, seriously, do you have a chip on your shoulders?

I say that's great that you wrench on your cars. I love working on my Testarossa and my former Diablo VT Roadster. Unfortunately my Murcielago Roadster has to have damn factory computer plugged into it at the dealership to do anything....and that's way beyond me.

Let's face it, that 62k Testarossa is a great find....but it needed work didn't it. So, please, let's not compare it to a premium level car for sale at a dealership or one that has all the maintenance up to date...even with the same miles.

As far as pulling the rug from under you to " scoop " up a Testarossa is crap. This forum is a great resource of information and technical skill...and all here are willing to share....myself included.

You may want to consider first impressions next time you're new to a forum.

So, welcome aboard and feel free to create threads on your work. It'll be appreciated here.
