My passenger side door central locking did not work any more ( as many 348 ) Checked everything: door wiring: ok locking unit: ok switches in actuators: ok motors in actuators: aha passenger side open circuit. So i took out the actuator and opened it. Very easy with a knife. Indeed motor OC: dead. I had in my garage an old aftermarket actuator from a kit, so took a chance and opened it also. SURPRISE; the motor is 100 % the same and even the same brand !!!!! How lucky can you get. The ferrari one only had a sort of centrifugal clutch, for the rest identical. Soldered the "new" motor in the ferrari actuator and... voila works fine. That's incredible... great job. I love thinking outside the box with these cars and finding alternative parts and fixes. I just replaced both my Alternator belt and AC belt and instead of paying $40 a piece I paid 12 for Continental brand... exact same length and size and it has the cool cavallino emblem in yellow that Continental uses! It's almost exactly like the Ferrari cavallino.
I did the same thing on my major service. A belt is a belt. It has a type (model), width and length. That's all.
