    This video from 5 years ago when the car was being brought back into life shows it fitted with its original Downdraft engine, which I am told produces well in excess of 500 bhp.

    Unfortunately the film’s sound is very poor.

    Suspension is lowered, 18 inch split rims are used, all glass was replaced with Lexan, twin competition fuel cells with quick-fill racing nozzles are employed, the front hood incorporates an air-extractor, a spartan interior with a race bucket seat is in use, all state-of-the art for 1994.

    It’s hard to believe this car ran @ 24 years ago

    Currently, the car attends a number of events and shows in Japan, and, in keeping with a growing trend today of finding a way to road-register racing cars, this historic racing Countach is now Japan road-registered 54-14

    I wonder how they dealt with headroom for helmets in the Rain-X Countach... That is why Paul Halstead converted his LP400 into a targa top. I know the body dimensions changed quite a bit from the LP400 to the Anniversario, but surely not enough to wear a helmet comfortably?

    Not only were the 5 liter Countachs taller @ the cabin than the 4 liter that Paul Halstead had, but, as you can see, the interior of this 5 liter Countach was completely stripped https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/145953248/ so I bet the seat was mounted lower

    Yes, fchat seems to handle things very different to german based forums.

    Thank you Joe for letting me know about this particular car. It was posted earlier this thread as GLA12926, thats why i was confused with the red-white based in switzerland.
