Quick question for the spider owners, is there noticeable amounts of scuttle shake?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scuttle_shake Scuttle shake (sometimes called cowl shake in the US) is the term used for the phenomenon experienced in many convertible or open top automobiles where, due to lower structural rigidity caused by the lack of a roof, the middle section of the chassis flexes, causing the bulkhead in front of the passenger compartment to move and vibrate when the vehicle is subject to uneven road surfaces. Passengers feel it as a noticeable vibration and shudder.
Hmm I’m pretty sure the 360 Spider doesn’t do that. You can feel the flex if you have to make an agressive angle to get over a gradient but that’s all I’ve seen.
There's a hint of it in my 430 Spider, noticeable when you're entering an angled ramp, for example. However it's not noticeable, unlike older convertibles, if you hit mid-corner bumps, in general, although if you were to brake hard while mid-corner over a pothole, you'd probably feel something. I do feel the difference in rigidity in my 430 coupe, but the difference is pretty small, and, in 95% of driving, not noticeable. It's really very good. Like any convertible, as it gets older and more used, it gets loosened a bit; a 100,000 mile car will feel different to a 10,000 miler in this respect. It was considered very good for its era in terms of rigidity, but carbon tub cars like the McLarens have moved the game forward even more, as has the 488. Look up some reviews when it came out (just google Ferrari 430 Spider review) and you'll see many said how impressed they were by the rigidity and one even said there was now no reason to buy a coupe..

Nice ass! I love it all blacked out like that. Considering the black lights package for my Grigio Titanio F430...but this is so badass.

Just got the car paint corrected and 3 layers of ceramic coating. Looks so much better. Think it needs to be lowered just a hair. Opinions? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
