The waiting to get your Ferrari being equated to a beautiful woman was much more eloquently described by LdM in that TV documentary. You almost believe it until you are turned down for a car with cash in hand. The truth is that Ferrari really just goes along with the hype that their customers create. Its quite brilliant. Just wait till the next mule is spotted or those in the know leak specs for the follow-on and then things change. Numbered LEs are different, of course.

Why do these final production photos look like the car has been in an awful wreck?

Apparently it wasn't so easy. I know a laferrari owner who participated in FC for many years but stopped doing it and he wasn't able to get a TDF.

The friend I referenced has eyes on larger prizes (ie., the next laferrari so he's going to keep buying, and keep racing in the FC). Subsequent to TDF purchase, he also bought a F40 and F50. There's some serious car buyers out there who will just keep buying and buying.

I have another friend who lives in the Phillipines and she told me that the criteria to get a Pista was to have bought 5 ferrari cars (she is getting a Pista). She also races in FC and said that has opened up a door for her to get just about any ferrari car she now wants.

Not sure what you guys are talking about Pistas being hard to come by. Here's a small tip: Try to call up the southern European dealerships. I know of at least 2 with a few more slots to go.

Regarding this thread, I currently own an F12 which is for sale and looking for a replacement to the fleet. Going to test drive the 720S and a 488 GTB next week, and pretty damn excited.... Formerly owned the 650S Spider and must say that the car even though it was genious, ended up being very boring and sterile to drive.

Also took a look at the 570S Values in Europe and they seem to be holding up quite well, much better than I would have expected. This would make a tuned 650S the steal of the century as you can have them now starting at around 170k€ I see?

Thanks for the info. Crazy is that 720S has posted even quicker acceleration times. It’s a hyper car for all intents and purposes.

I just read they tested acceleration figures with two people on board for some reason. Safe to assume 720S could have gone sub 19 seconds to 300 kph. It’s quicker than a 918. What an absolute monster.

I guess one win out of 3 shouldn't be seen as bad....especially when the other 2 were kills.:)

    http://fastestlaps.com/comparisons/11m3m7shl0vv

Maybe GT2 was just having a bad day at Hockenheim or, perhaps the scales were being tipped to 720's favor? I guess looking on the bright side the win by 1 second from 720 was really big ;)

Keep in mind the 720 is an every day super car. It is not purpose built to track like the LT version will be, that will be another story.

The LT story is yet to be told so let's not count any chickens before they hatch.

720 is but one of many everyday supercar's with a strong suit of being fastest in a straight line. That may be a big deal for some, but not everyone.

Are you kidding me???? The 720 is destroying race cars & hyper cars on tracks with street tires. Wake up man, stop hating for the sake of hating. You are blinded by your bias.

I agree it is not all about speed if it was we would all be driving something else but it really is the total package if you can get past your bias. The only thing it really lacks is an exhaust note like the Performante which is insane but probably wouldn't suit the car.

Also, you can bet your 488 that the LT version will be a beast so in this case I dont mind counting chickens.
