True...but the car looks amazing, so much better than the 488 gtb.

I think it is far better looking than the Ford GT, and sounds much better also.

I dunno. At least from the videos, I don't think it sounds anything like a Scud from the outside. Inside the car will of course dull things a bit, but still frequencies sound a lot different.

Your are getting confused between sound pressure and perceived loudness changes. A 3dB increase doubles sound pressure but hardly any one would report a "louder" sound. What matters to us is how we perceive loudness, and for that it is generally accepted that a 10dB increase is perceived to be double the loudness. So ferrari's claim of double is fairly reasonable.

If anyone can be bothered, you can read all about it here:

It's been posted in the "RIP 720S" thread - and this value has been questioned.
100 kph (62 mph) on the speedometer is less in reality anyway, not sure by how many kph though.

I wish they would have calibrated the speedo as was done with the LAF. It's fun to see it climb rapidly in 1 km increments. Annoying how it clips by in large increments.

Not sure part of this is not due to how it's filmed (low number of fps to increase stability?)

    Yes.
Ferrari said no for both cars not the dealer.
    I am wondering why...

My guess as to why is to satisfy a greater number of customers - just saying :)

Its either that or it could be that for each car sold many dealers pick up/force a less desirable sale and ultimate consignment of another new car effectively flipping it and then make a second profit on the same car. This gives them (3) sales opportunities per special car offered than compared to one (1) opportunity for a special car sold to an owner that buys and keeps.

I had exact same conversation. Not yet confirmed for an Aperta but they said a few weeks ago I should be ok but would have to give up coupe.

...and as for sound of the CS and Scud, CS is waaay louder and quite a bit nicer too. A bit illogical because it blows all the meters on trackdays so you could never use your trackday Ferrari on any trackdays! But....the first time I got in mine and floored it with the window open, I made myself jump - I had no idea that such a loud noise was my car! The noise of the CS is incredible.

The Pista is not a limited run car ... it is a special edition car just like Speciale and scuderia and CS

Quite possible; just like the 488 spider was released very soon after the GTB (first deliveries of GTB in Sept. 2015 and first Spiders before the end of 2015).

I still wonder what the actual market situation will be for the Pista; having the Aperta customers giving away their Pista allocations will avoid them trying to sell their Pista when receiving the Aperta (which could be good for the selling side of the second hand market of the Pista) but on the other hand more potential customers will get a Pista initially (since people lined up for the Aperta are freeing PIsta slots).

With all this moving situation, the claims that the Pista is sold out are funny IMHO - not to say that Ferrari will struggle to sell them (I have no doubt they will not have unsold cars), but considering there will be such shortage that the second hand market price will skyrocket is speculation at this stage.
