I've extended my Saturdays (and every other day) for a bit to handle the slop over from shifting a week's appts so I could go to the GAD. I'll have to do it a bit longer now to pay for the damage to the QV

4,000 stone chips, scraped the spoiler and under tray (a lot), scaped and bashed the chassis, bent the chassis rail under the battery, wore away some of the floor, plus numerous extra squeaks and rattles that'll take months to track down.

Ahhh this explains a lot... certainly not 'immaculate' but someone with $40k cash and some mechanical skills could probably get a fun car.

Simple fact is Ferraris are expensive to buy and maintain and not everyone can afford it. That car is a turd that has been polished and the target audience is dreamers flicking through a magazine at the local barber. Whoever buys it is in for a world of pain

Depends on expectations and how realistic they are; not everyone is looking for a 'perfect' or 'investment' car. None of the cognoscenti would have touched my car with a barge pole when it was offered for sale. I bought it because it was the only 308GTS available in Aus at that time ( and incidentally another didn't come to market for a very long time after). I spent about 60% of the purchase price getting it sorted mechanically (cosmetic issues have always been on the bottom of my list). The car has rewarded me with over 16 years of service with only 4 'unscheduled' workshop visits :)
Many of you wouldn't be happy with this direction, but some of us are just happy driving our cars - bizarre as that might seem!

One person's rubbish is another's immaculate in this case

If it were me, I'd pass on a $53k Mondial 8 with glaringly obvious issues and save up for an $80k Mondial in better nic

...........and as amazingly weird as it is,there are some folk on here who don't actually enjoy driving their cars as much as just having them.

Others,on the other hand, drive the bejeezus out of them (when they can hop on an aircraft to do so) and consequently have Marc as one of our very bestest friends!!
