Interesting to see that QV now seems higher valued than carburetor when using Hagerty tool. I guess it depends on the condition of the cars reported sold, contributing to those numbers.

I wonder if the disinterest of the younger millenials and the talk of all electric and self driving cars is taking some of the appeal out of classic cars? Don't think it helps that the new Ferraris, despite selling well, aren't inspiring to many enthusiast. The second tier F1 performance lately may have a negative effect too. Tesla and McLaren in; Ferrari out?

There are plenty of millenials who love power and gasoline around here; the future is not lost yet. ;)

This should comfortably lift the bar well above even Vetro levels.

Suddenly the more or less constant number of GTB QVs for sale on mobile.de decreased from 9 to 3...maybe the ads just happen to expire at the same time or there is a sudden wish to buy one.

Its also interesting that of the 33 308's listed for sale on classiccars.com, there is only (1) qv, an '83.

That 1978 is my 308. Don’t let the eBay ad skew the market analysis. I ended the sale before it ran the whole time, worked out a good deal for both parties.

There was very strong interest from Switzerland to Canada to California and offers to come with cash and pick it up. Turns out a good guy from my town saw the ad shortly before the sale ended, so I shut the sale down to sell it to him, actually a nice Porsche 911 plus cash for the 308.

So that is the rest of the story.

Enjoy the 911,great cars too,air cooled i assume?

Hello everyone, I am the lucky one that purchased Jeff's (aka Fairview) 308. I have known Jeff for a number of years mostly through various car activities and was well aware of his 308 and the extensive care that he took of the car. After the sale of his car became apparent, I contacted Jeff and we were able to strike a deal.
This is my first Ferrari, however I have much experience with collector cars and took care of several Alfa Romeo's and Porsche's over the years while they were in my possession. I plan to be an active member of the Ferrarichat fraternity spending much of my time learning from you all.

    Regards,
    Alex in Virginia

That's been suggested a few times now. It's a good idea, so I don't know why it hasn't been done.

I recently checked the asking prices of the 308 GTB QV's in Europe. There are around 90 308's for sale currently (in Europe) but only a handfull of GTB QV's of course.
Cheapest is 79,9K euro. Most expensive one (in silver) 125K euro.

There are occasionally a few in the 60s that appear sea worthy.
