Hi guys located in france will get my new gtb in 3 weeks and wondering of an after market exhaust ( no change to the pipe cat )
For me 2 potential candidate at nearly same price : akrapovic or novitec
I have seen the youtube video and im not sure what is the one to go for...
Anyone who has installed a akrapovic exhaust system only on his 488 ?
Same question for a novitec exhaust with valve ?
    Thanks for your help
    Cheers from France

    Congrats on your new GTB.
As an owner myself I would suggest you live with the stock exhaust for a while before making any decisions about changing.

Simply remove the vacuum hoses from the exhaust diverter valves. Sounds great and eliminates the cost and hassle of dealing with the aftermarket. Don’t get sucked in by the hype.

So far I am happy with the OEM exhaust. My sales guy told me yesterday that they had installed three of the Capristo and that they sound real good. They also have a valve control with that option.

What we need are better smileys to describe how happy I am with this car. It's not as comfortable as the Cali T but I knew that going in. My left leg is pushed in by the wheel well and I lost some leg room but the Daytona seats I got are better. The car is way more engaging to drive which is what I wanted and it's looks are better IMO. I think the sound is better as well. The car is all that I hoped it would be. What is really amazing is how well the car corners and the acceleration in 4th gear and up is outstanding.

The brakes squeak but so what. The stereo is lousy but so what. Definitely not bothered by the minor drawbacks that have been reiterated on other threads.

I'm sure aftermarket systems sound good but you may well find you're just chasing your tail as the stock system sounds amazing and more than loud enough with the valves open. Frankly I wouldn't want it any louder as it would wear you down on a long run and wind up giving you the ****s unless you can quieten it up so be careful what you wish for going louder and without valves. The Forza valve controller will give you total control over the stock system and is probably your best and cheapest way forward until you spend some seat time in the car to know exactly how much louder you can take. As I said stock definitely has a bark to it with those valves open.
