    This photo of Steve Downs new Downdraft that appeared in Performance Car magazine in early 1988 is one that make me appreciate the look of the P7 on the post-LP400 Countach.

    It underscores the car's purposeful stance and pulls together all the features we love.

    Lest we forget, Giampaolo Dallara designed the parallel-linked suspension for the P7, and Marcello Gandini styled the aggressively beautiful spats around the new wide wheels and the P7 tires

    A good time to repost Andrew Yeadon's images which are exclusive to this thread, showing this customer-car Downdraft which was electronically timed to 180 mph, all the while shown some mechanical sympathy topping out @ 7,300. The results of Simon Fowler's own identically-specced Downdraft which has seen V-max many times, tested for AUTOCAR years later yielded slightly better results
