Absolutely, his strategy of being sure to meet with Ron Dennis, his undoubted speed, and his cultural background, all rounded out to get him into f1. Just like Vettel driving to circuits and driving anything and everything got him where he is today. I never ever tried to chase a professional contract, I was too busy chasing skirt and earning wages back then, racing was a way to use the cars and bikes I was buying without getting my collar felt by plod. While I’d love to be Vettel, or Rosberg, or many other drivers if I had my time of choice, I’d never ever want to be elton, regardless of how many championships he gets, because I wouldn’t want to be the type of man he is with the ridiculous personality he has. Better to be cool and poor, than rich and a total wanker

 

You know what ever you think about him will have 0 effect on his legacy right? You can hate for the next 50 years, Ham will still go down as one of the F1 greats

 

Straight and to the point. Nobody has to like him or his personality or life style. But he is the best driver out there right now. Seb is a good second...but when the stars are aligned, Hamilton does it better. And the numbers prove it.

 

He will go down in the numbers stats as a great, no doubt, but anyone with knowledge knows he’s unworthy of comparison to the true great drivers, without a dominating car he barely kept button in check, and Rosberg gave him plenty of good beatings despite being forced to play second fiddle by Mercedes management on plenty of occasions....... fast, but dumb

When you rival says that, it means a lot.

 

It doesn't matter to people on here, they will try to convince you that they know more than Rosberg

 

Prost beat Senna, Rosberg beat Schumi, Alonso beat Schumi in a Renault, but it did'nt affect their legacy. How many times are you gonna fail at trying to belittle Hamiltons accomplishments?

Which is far better than "I've been world champion because I had the best car and a very average team-mate"

 

And I'll go with my own insiders who I trust more than some **** at a newspaper. Lewis was a little **** when younger, he's a little ***** now and that's that.

Grosjean wins as worst driver so far this year but Stroll is not far behind. Whilst Stroll is a much less talented man, he's already struggling against his much less experienced teammate in qualifying. Sure, he beats him in the race, but, (and this is his only good trait), he seems to start well and make decent opening laps, He loses that pretty early on, but the 4-6 positions he usually gains take time to lose and that gap is what saves him. Purely because it's so hard to overtake. Next year (assuming Sirotkin stays around), when it's easier to follow/overtake....he'll fall into the clutches of the rest very quickly and he'll look even worse.

 

What did i say?! It took 30mins before someone try to convince me they know more than Rosberg!

1991–2002 10 6 4 3 2 1

2003–2009 10 8 6 5 4 3 2 1

Different numbers of races.

So, slightly different ultimate results. But either way, they were BOTH first losers of their respective years.

 

I do not try to convince anybody, just making an observation that seems to make sense...

 

Of course your observation makes sense...but that won't suit his argument so he'll try and beat you with ''facts''. Same as the other trolls before him.

 

My point is ROSBERG'S observation that seems to make sense is greater than YOUR observation that seems to make sense. That's what i mean when i say people will convince they know more than Rosberg

 

Btw I have no idea what Rosberg actually thinks (and I'm not sure you have more), just pointing out one reason why he could say what he says - independently of what he may think.
And it seems you're the one trying to convince you know more about Rosberg's thoughts (maybe you're a close friend of his, which I admit easily I'm not).

That's what he 's reported to have told a journalist. I am not in Rosberg's mind. Do you believe everything you read on the web? or that re-quoting makes something unquestionably true?

 

Again you refuse to understand the fact that if Rosberg would say ''Hamilton is a **** driver'', that would put his own championship as not a very big achievement, and the times he got beaten as frankly embarrasing! Of course Rosberg would say Elton is one of the best. The higher he praises Elton, the higher ''value'' his championship has. He can say he's beaten ''the best''.

 

Yes I agree, and it's plainly obvious you know a lot about whining, you excel in it, you ruin most threads in the F1 section with your constant whining about Hamilton IMO.

Rosberg is class, he was shackled by Mercedes and even had his car tampered with to keep whiny ***** happy, the year they let him get on with it, he beat elton hands down...... still hurts doesnt it elton fans hehehehehehehe

 

No real serious contender beside Grosjean and Stroll - F1 drivers selection is not so bad after all
