    Hi guys. Anybody have a good crossover replacement for a 348 tb starter motor. I can't believe that you have to spend 5 6 700 bucks for a starter. There are so many out there for 150 to 200. And yes I know I can have one rebuilt I want a spare mine is fine

    Just watch the quality of those starters. I bought one from them for my Lotus and the castings weren't very good (bubbles in the casting). I couldn't return the item due to prohibitive postage costs from Australia. I just gave away the starter to someone a little less fussy than I was. If you're in the same country, I guess return postage costs wouldn't be too much.

    Just have it rebuilt 99% of the time it just needs new brushes. Any competent shop can do it....ot sit

    That makes more sense. I tried ot sitting and it didn't help my starter at all, but now I walk funny.
