    Hi All,

Anyone experience a “knock knock” sound intermittently from the rear of their 458? Don’t think it’s a loose part as the sound doesn’t always occur when I hit bumps. Also, the “knock knock” sound has the same rhythm every time. Please see the attachment for a video of the sound.
    Thanks for your help.

When this happens, you have to ask, who's there? Then your Ferrari will come up with a joke to make you laugh!

    Ferraris are awesome! :)

I’d like to add that the sound is quieter from the driver’s seat compared to the video.

Something seems to be loose. Most likely some part of exhaust system

If something is loose, wouldn’t it make that sound every time I hit a bump? The sound seems to occur randomly (even when the road is flat) and it is ALWAYS that same rhythm “knock knock”.

In that case no one here can comment unless they are in the car with you. Better take it to the dealer and let them find out

That sounds more like switchgear/electrical? Does the sound occur while the car is stationary, idling and in neutral?

Yes I believe I have heard it while stationary, idling, and in neutral.

Very difficult to tell from your video. I recently had a similar knocking sound. Took car to F dealer. Sound at idle wasn't the faint 'ticking' injector sounds, it was a lower tone, quieter, knocking/rattle type sound. More of a sound under the normal engine idle noise.
Turned out it was a standard 458 noise. The tech really had to listen hard. Then he started up two other 458 cars. Sure enough, I heard the same sound.
No action required. Just my experience.

You might want to check out the transmission drive shafts and the cvj’s. - just had one replaced due to intermittent knocking sounds that were in time with revolution of road wheel
