My soft top hydraulic fluid is low and I'm having a hard time finding the fill hole. I already turned the bleed screw counter clockwise about 4 turns and it tells me to loosen the compensation valve fastening bolts. Are those the 2 bolts with the allan heads? Is the fill plug behind the compensation valve? I'm afraid of loosening the wrong bolts and getting fluid all over the interior. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Brilliant. No fill port. Unbelievable.

(Or, did I miss it? Just scanned that thread very quickly)

I can't thank you enough. Picture #3 explains it clearly. Why can't the workshop manual provide pics like this? The fill port is where the bolt with the 13mm head is located. I will get back on it in the morning. Thanks again!!!

Dave, look at pic #3 and the fill port is the 13mm hex bolt. Its completely hidden until you unbolt the brass block sitting in front of it

Got it. Thanks. Still a pretty poor design.

The entire soft top design and power operation in this car seems to have been designed during a Tuesday afternoon extended lunch/Chianti bender by a couple of Ferrari engineering interns. Why would you think that filling the hydraulic reservoir of said system would be convenient or well designed? :p
