    Interesting!

What is the current business relationship between Ferrari and Alfa?

Off topic I know but I think it is great what Marchionne has done, is doing with Alfa.
It is,IMHO a great shame, however, that it looks like the Maserati name will be used for other things.

Hard to believe that the new 8C will make use of a V6. Why call it 8C then? 6C would be much more appropriate in that case.

So the 488 replacement will have a brand new v6 tt and electrics motors front and rear for around 1000 hp ?
    It's a complete paradigm's change .
To be honest it's difficult to believe they will let the v8 tt down ?

It started out as an engine reference now it's more of a product hierarchy - just IMO

Sure this could be the case like AMG still uses the 63 moniker. However in the case of the 8C I think it is even more senseless. Better call it 6C then.

The manufacturers will still use old name plates Look at the BMW 740e it has a 4 cyl engine.
Mercedes 450 S class has a 6 cyl here in the US - But one day all cars will be electric anyways :)

You are absolutely right many car model names are senseless nowadys. That makes you think that LaFerrari isn't that terrible actually. :D

Could Alfa build a CF tub supercar before Ferrari?

Hard to believe but nothing seems impossible. My guess however is that they will share the platform.

My guess Ferrari are about to do something similar to R8 and Huracan
But Ferrari being smarter will have a greater differentiation between Alfa and Ferrari.
Unlike Audi sharing the exact same power between both cars. There will probably be
a 100hp difference and a 80k price difference - all conjecture on my part

    No, it isn't.

488 replacement four engines output will be around 800 hp total power, with the possibility to go up towards 900 hp with the following VS

Probably - But I also think a V8TT Hybrid will be intro'd in a new slot above the 488 replacement
Giving Ferrari two distinctly different rear mid engined cars.IMO They plan to grow the brand's volume
by making wider range models and keeping the volume of each individual model in check.
Therefore protecting the brands exclusivity as well increasing the overall number of cars sold - IMO

Hypercar F40 had 478 HP. A standard Portofino today has 600 HP and 812S has 800

I have to ask, perhaps less weight would be more desirable than more power. The 488 isn't exactly underpowered and how much of that power can you really use.

You can use all of its power - make the best of it in all situations is a different matter, but you can still use it (and you could make use of more, too).
