Just wondering how many Fchat members here are owning Ferrari and Harley-Davidsons bike and how people commenting about it? Some asked me that you have a fast car why not speed bike, why Harley’s? Please share your options. Cheer...

Owned many Harleys - they go plenty fast enough, my Sportsters would paste my Ferrari 308. Maybe not on the track, but definitely in a straight line and it wouldn't be close.

That being said, I do love Ducati and I've never owned one. I'll probably get one someday before I'm gone.

I'm not into riding what a local emergency doctor calls 'Donor Cycles' but Harleys are pretty like Ferraris are. Those dog f...ing a football bikes don't do anything for me.

Harley’s other than the v-rod have little appeal to me....it’s not that some aren’t striking. Just isn’t me.

Harley's all the way! Three F cars and no sport bikes.
StreetGlide is my ride of choice.
People get a very confused look on their face when i tell them I don't own a sport bike. I guess spirited riding on a fast bike just doesn't appeal to me.

    2001 Buell X1 Lightning, 2007 Ducati 1098S and a 2007 Monster S4RS... no Hogs.

But no bikes at all right now.

However, I'm right in the middle of the 2018 Lake George Americade (huge event, mostly cruisers and touring bike event) and an XDiavelS is more appealing than ever (but not for Florida).

To each their own, of course. But 3 Ferraris and no desire for a spirited ride on a fast bike? You’re missing out ;)

A man has to know his limitations - Duc 999, too much for me; sold it. 4 V-Rods - loved every one of them. Just bought an 06 Sporty with 975 miles and loaded with HD options; great bike. A vehicle (no pun) to a social experience with some really great friends. Back to Eastern TN in September for some great times.

Sold my 2006 Fatboy after riding all my life and Harleys since 1991. Too many distracted drivers out there. Safer in my F430 cage.

85 K100RT (purchased new) and 2003 K1200LT with sidecar (family rig). Sold my 2001 CVO custom after 13 yrs.
I have an addiction that causes me to find the top speed of any vehicle or bike. Safer to have slow bikes and fast cars

I have a 2012 Softail Deluxe and my 2002 456M GT. Love both, that's why I have a coupe because on those really really nice days I like to ride the bike.
How about an F-Chat/Ferrari meet up here during the 115th over Labor Day weekend.

Had three Harleys at one point, Night Train, V-rod and an Ultra. Parked everything in one garage, by the time I moved the 355 out to ride one, I typically said f**it and drove the Ferrari! Sold all three, now it's just a pair of Ferraris.

I at one time was considering buying a harley. But it seemed like everyone I saw riding one down the street was unhappy, with a scowl on their face. So I figured that the ownership experience was an unpleasant one. :)

I don't like Harleys at all. I only ride BMW bikes. I'd love an MV Agusta or a Ducati, but I'm 6'2" with a 35" inseam, and they fold me up like a pretzel.

Harleys don't handle for ****. A V Rod might be a nice cruiser, though.

I’m personally not a Harley guy but I respect their heritage. Discovery had a multi episode bit on them that was quite interesting.

    However, with that said, I do have 3 Ducati’s. 2001 Ducati 996S, 2008 Ducati 1098R, 2015 Ducati Panigale R

Yes, that's a real problem. Decades ago I used to be concerned riding on Friday and Saturday nights about drunk drivers. Now drunk driving isn't nearly as bad as it used to be, but drivers texting, emailing and surfing the web while driving is a 24/7 problem.

I used to ride 1000's of miles each season, now it's only a few hundred each year.

Have a 2011 Diavel which love as a dual personality bike (a true cruising super bike) and have had several Panigales and now a 1299 Superleggera which is awesome but strictly a short distance bike for me at 6’2” since comfort takes a rear seat (or no seat) to performance.
Harley’s are much more comfortable and well balanced even at very low speeds. They just don’t do anything for me since their mantra is looks, sound but not low weight or high performance .
But as age advances comfort moves up the list of desirable attributes in motorcycles as it still keeps us in the sport

    I have 2 Ducatis and 1 Ferrari.

While Harley's are air cooled bikes, they have 2 big disadvantages, they weigh too much, and have too little HP.
Ducatis do not have this problem, even the air cooled ones.

I have owned both since 2000. I have a ferrari shield on my Harley and a Harley sticker on my ferrari ;) My garage has lots of different toys (tools so to speak) and each has their own role to play for the need I ask them to address. IMO a motorhead should like all kinds of cars/bikes/boats/planes/turcks...anything with an engine
