As of March Ferrari and Maserati are still at 10.26 I did see release notes that said it addressed the issue in one the releases but I did also hear more than once that it wasn't truly fixed I am too curious to get positively positive confirmation Thanks Dominick Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
Ok, then I have the most recent version of 10.26 but also don't believe it was fixed yet. I'll try to confirm that this weekend though on my 430.
Here's my story about really confusing F1 clutch wear rate: My clutch was changed at May 2017 after a metal part from the clutch plate broke off: Image Unavailable, Please Login Parts which were changed are same that comes with the Ferrari "OEM Clutch Kit": -flywheel -clutch disk -throw out bearing The clutch was calibrated with 3rd party software said being able to calibrate the gearbox / TCU. During summer months 2017 I drove the car little over 5k miles and gearbox / clutch worked almost flawlessly, maybe 5 times it chose 2nd after sitting with N as I was trying to accelerate from the traffic lights. Once it wouldn't choose any gear after sitting in N for 1-2min. Solution was to restart the car and after all worked well. It never lit nor flashed the dreadful "gearbox warning light" or the F1 pump never primed longer than maybe 8 sec at max. Then I parked the car for winter months. Now after 5 months or so I took it to the spring service (all fluids etc.) and while I was driving there, after 10 miles I stopped to the traffic lights, put gearbox to "N" and waited like 1 min for lights to go green. Then ... nothing. Car wouldn't go into any gear, not even after multiple restarts and pushing the car a bit. Every time I shut car down it was at "N" when I put ignition back on and restarted it. I thought that maybe cold weather or long period of inactivity or low battery voltage is the culprit as the temp was around 28F or -2 C and she flashed "ASR" once when I started her up (connected to the Ctek battery tender 2 hours per day). Anyway, my trusted mechanic sent me this pic from the said gearbox software: Image Unavailable, Please Login Can someone confirm are these numbers correct for clutch driven +5k miles with really sensible usage? I've always tried to prolong the clutch life by never launching her, never reversing uphill, avoiding uphill starts, slowing down to the traffic lights with N selected after 3/4th gear, never driving during rush hour "start stop - start stop" kind of traffic etc. Maybe 30% of "SPORT" mode and 70% of "NORMAL" mode selected. I find it really confusing that the calculated clutch wear is so huge as 34%... :/
Hello and good day Just curious if you know if and when they will add ediff coverage to x431 ? Thanks Dominick Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
I bought the yellow EasyDiag but could not find a download link here. Where do I download the software? Thank you.
The app starts to prompt for an update once a new version is available. Until now I have ignored it. I wondered if anyone else has performed a successful upgrade of the version supplied by mechanicservice6 ?
I've been ignoring the prompt per MS6. I'm assuming it may break things, but was thinking if it did break then a clean reinstall using the files he provided may get it back to working. Sent from my SM-G930V using FerrariChat.com mobile app
If this is a patched version .. I would not update it from native application.. Is it looking to update firmware or actual brand ? Need to refer back to person who created patch to get new patched updated for brand I am afraid if you update firmware you may lock/block dongle Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
Not true.. if firmware is uodated with incorrect one you will lock/block dongle .. be careful Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
Ok good to know, then that would be a big concern. I have been unable to get a response from MS6 to my private messages for quite some time, but I believe I still have the most recent version for the Ferrari brand. Sent from my SM-G930V using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Give me a few screen prints of what is going on and also a screen print of the dongle info that has boot version, firmware etc Also let me know your eodbc version Delete/ block the last 5 digits of your dongle number for security when sending pics Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
I updated the firmware on the dongle when I moved to 10.26. MS6 said accept the upgrade and install. Took a few seconds.....
The firmware for the pro 3s is up to 11.65 now but but if you upgrade to the 11.65 of easydiag you will block your dongle Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
What started as a nice thread about clutch replacement appears to have wandered off and become the "Pirated Software Thread". Seriously guys, if you use the software buy it then you can take the updates and all is good. You can afford the car but you can't afford to pay for the value of the software you are using. AND you complain that the software & tools are so expensive or not available. Could that be because most (like many of you) are stealing them an not paying for them?
Although I agree that we should not be talking about pirated software I believe we should talk about the software that helps with clutch replacement... Some work better than others and some cost more than others Knowing the settings and the parameters and the shortcomings of the software would really help somebody replace the clutch Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
That seems to be a lot of clutch wear for 5K miles. As for not being able to select a gear, the culprit may be the clutch position sensor. I had a similar problem a few years ago, but I did get a clutch position sensor code.
I got 2500 miles and only 6% wear on the clutch. Something is definitely wrong. Mine behaves perfectly and never skipped a beat with the new clutch.
You make minor changes to the parameters and the calculated value is wrong. Maybe they weren't set right to begin with. Maybe they were changed by accident. Maybe you have that much wear. The only real way to know is inspection. Assuming you don't have a lot of clutch slip use the info as a baseline and drive the car. Check it again later and see if it is changing. That will tell you more than anything else.
Where do you guys recommend to get the LAUNCH Tech - EasyDiag 2.0 Plus It seems to be sold out everywhere I look? Any reliable source where I won't get a China-copycat?
