Looks like the #FrenchGP not starting until 15:10 UK time means that @Channel4's highlights of the race will not air until 22:10, according to provisional schedules.

This is such a similar track to Canada I'm going to have to give this one to Ferrari again. Definitely advantage Ferrari here.

The fresh Mercedes power unit cannot be overlooked. I say they have an all new "party mode" for qualifying. Here's to hoping I'm wrong and it's another cakewalk for Vettel.

I thought this was one of the tracks where the tires were to MB's advantage? Regardless, Forza Ferrari!

The track was completely resurfaced this winter so billiard table smooth. Red Bull should do very well in the final sector which is all about handling. After an off weekend Hamilton is bound to be a threat with engine matters sorted. Let's hope Vettel can bring Maranello another French GP win. Massa won the last one for Ferrari 10 years ago at bleak Magny Cours.

Wish I could go in 10 days but have to be at the Concours d'elegance Suisse in Geneva...

Well the current party mode has not been great since oil burn was limited!

True. But, do we really think Mercedes will just sit idly?

The question is how much potential is left in those engines to improve? They are in their 5th year of development and the improvement steps might be very small, especially when you have to use the engine even longer than in the past. If it´s true that the engine udgrade was delayed due to reliability problems there might be not that much more to come...Maybe the time when they find half a second as soon as they need it is over, no more sandbagging...

[Sportbild] The new Mercedes engine that will debut in the #FrenchGP are expected to bring 0.3s quicker lap times than the previous one.

I don't know what to expect with the new Merc PU, but if they are in fact 0.3 faster per lap, that could be bad news for Ferrari.

The old spec engine looked well enough in Spain to result in MB dominance; it’s really all about the tires imho

I'm looking forward to F1 at Paul Ricard. Magny Cours always left me wanting for a better French GP site.

That does seem like quite a jump; hopefully it isn't the case. If it is, not a good sign.
