I had a friend 3d print me some washers that match the oem square design.

You could do same with small washers if you wanted.

You want to remove the spacers, behind the latches, on the roof, to make it tighter.

 

Check the female brackets inside the roof trim in the rear. They tend to come loose. PITA to fix, as you have to drop the trim a few inches, but helped mine a lot.

 

There was a Service Bulletin or Service Campaign on the latches, but I can't seem to find it at the moment.
Shims are also available for the latches at the front and the catch at the back.
There was also a Change Notice for the targa top pins. See attached.
