    Hello everyone,

I need an advice regarding F355 F1 gearbox transmission:

The gears only change up to 4th and then seem to be stuck or drifting to 3rd or 2nd and when driving speed doesn’t go above 40 miles per hour. When the gear change the gearbox/hydraulic motor/pump in the back makes a bit noise of rather than shifting/changing gears smoothly.

Spoke to one mechanics he reckons it could be the Electric motor in the gearbox hydraulics pump and other One reckons it could the speed/pulse sensor.

Any advice from anyone may have faced the same issue will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Khush.

How long have you had the car
Did you hit any big holes lately
When were your engine mounts changed
    So it shifts fine 1, 2, 3, 4, R no 5 or 6??
Hiw long for pump to prime
How long for pump to reenergise when sitting but not shifting gears
Does it shift when not running, fine

Have you reviewed the service manual and how the f1 works so that you can give better feedback? This will help,a lot

Has your speedometer been behaving erratically recently?

I had a similar problem before and I believe it was the speedo sensor that resolved it.
