The only references I'm aware of are the sketches published in Arnstein Landsem's excellent 'Book Of The Urraco' from Veloce - there are three Urraco Targa proposals in it and what is described as a 'missing link' between the Urraco and Silhouette which has wide round topped wheel arches, Urracl style slats on the rear flanks and no rear quarter windows.

Is the Miura in the Gandini video #4124?

Landsem's Urraco book says 1973 for the Targa sketches so I imagine this would be soon afterwards.

Contrary to popular belief this is not at the Bertone factory but at Silver Car who were subcontracted by Bertone to construct the Miura, Espada, Urraco, Silhouette and Jalpa bodies on chassis supplied by Marchesi. The old assembly hall is still in use today...

No need to apologize. I can assure you that not many will have already known this.

marchet book published in the 80's had the same image i am recalling. i dont think the P118 was a well conceived plan but an order to try to used up as many overstocked urraco parts as possible since many of the components were outsourced.

the bertone abarth 131 had the same squared off fender flares the first to run with the revolutionary P7 before the silh and ct. they were built in 75 and homologated for sale as a 76 model year while the prototype silhouette was still running on rounded wolf type flares. in fact the prototype Geneva silhouette show car even appeared with the same dark square matrix seat material and red stripe pouched off the abarth 131

not off the top of my head... i can check the mag clipping. i think i wrote the date on the back of it.

i have another poorly done artist impression somewhere. i think they must have seen the car and try to recant by having an artist draw it by describing its features

Allessandro Festa and Luciano Lingua established Silver Car in the 60's. Their partnership ended in 1986 and Lingua started a new business in another location making agricultural trailers, retaining the name Silver Car. Festa continued on with the original business in the same location as before but the company was renamed Golden Car. Both companies are in Caramagna not far from Turin.

If you mean Marchet's 1983 book 'Urraco & The V8s' it's not in there (I've just had a look) the only Bertone sketch in the book is the one of the Urraco with the 'French market' engine lid.

Is there another book on the Urracos I've missed out on...? I'd love to know if there is, there's precious little on the baby bull as it is!

i bought most of my lambo books in the 80's and havent looked at them in a long while so if u say its not in the marchet book it must be in another.

i only know of 2 urraco, v8 specific books... landsem one i know intimately since i was a contributor in both the text and photos. agreed there arent enough development or history info printed on the v8 line up. i was hoping ivor would write one !

nice link, thank you. the montreal canson is wonderful. the 308 gt4 proposal is cool too.
