It Seems like a very good deal, I don't know much about pricing on the 575.

For that matter I don't know much about pricing on the 550 either :)

Just came here to post this. Absolutely stolen IMO assuming it was a no stories car. Wow.

The 2010 458 Italia sold for $155k as well. 19k miles I think. Also a fairly decent price.

Barrett- Jackson is a great place to sell muscle cars, not so much for Ferraris. A steal and will probably be flipped pretty quickly. That is just about dealer wholesale or trade-in.

Given the results I've seen for a number of models, it's amazing to me anyone would choose to sell their Ferrari at BJ. Just not that kind of crowd, really.

Fees at BJ are ten percent buyer, eight seller. So $79,200 out-the-door buyer and $66,240 to the seller...why would you do that??

These cars are really unloved right now, I was offered $70k to trade mine in this week. I still refuse to believe the hate bc I know 15 years ago diablos were under $100k and testarossa's could be had in the $40-50k range. It really is amazing bc the car is so beautiful, I took mine to bal harbour last night to have dinner at carpaccio and there were countless rolls royce's and ferrari's in the valet and as I kept watching people kept walking up to the 575 to look at it. It's just something you don't ever see and there's less than 600 in the entire country. Im fairly confident their time will come soon as the "newest" 575's are only 13 years old, they're not really "old" yet......soon.....very soon

I have my eyes on 575s and that's an amazing deal. "Higher mileage" 575s pop up every now and then for around 90-100k but I haven't seen anything under 100k with such low mileage.

Yes I saw the car come across the block and it looked like a steal. I agree that B-J would not be the right place to consign such a car, but someone got a nice car or a chance to make a little cash.

The other day I was looking at a 599 that popped up near me, it had the same spec as my 575 red with tan seats with red inserts. Im still working on it,the sales manager, who knew nothing about Ferrari's while talking with him as its a pretty large bmw/mini dealer. He said lets see what we can get you for yours, sent all the info to a higher up and they came back at $70k. He said he'd never seen mine but it was much more beautiful than the one they had for sale. they want $149k for this 2007 599 and there's a 2010 with HGTE 3 hours from me asking the same price, but the 2007 is red and the 2010 is black.....tough decisions!

Somehow I pulled in to see the 599 bc there were no pics online and I ended up buying a mini cooper JCW to add to the fleet lol

The sales manager said the 575 was the best looking Ferrari he'd ever seen. They really are something up close I dont know why they lack love now, but i have zero doubts they will be loved one day bc my wife and the sale manager know nothing about cars both said it was better looking than the 599.

That BJ 575 was a beautifully specc’d car for a Smokin deal.

Personally, I would keep the 575 and skip the 599. But that is my opinion.

im keeping it, just when the salesman offered to run the numbers if I wanted to trade I wanted to really see what they'd give me. I was planning on adding the 599 in addition, I was just shocked at the number $70k I mean wow.

Personally , I would invest your sheckles and wait for the F12.

IMO, the 599 was a low point in overall design.

I agree that the 599 is not a beautiful design like the 550/575 and F12 but it's still a good looking car. It has this aggressive look to it which I love. The main attraction for me is the engine and noises it can make with the right headers (6-1) and exhaust. It is a big car, though.

Hey, it’s a ferrari. By virtue of the breed even the 599 is better than most anything else from other marques at the time of release and in white, it is actually approaching good looking.
The Maranellos however, like this one at BJ is just cool retro and getting cooler all the time. Last of the “smaller” package cars.

Funny thing is I remember seeing a 575 up close for the first time and thinking, "Wow! That thing is huge!" :)

A 550/575 is a very different car than a 599. IMO, they are all beautiful in their own way. A 599 is likely my next addition :)

$79k for one of the most gorgeous low miles 575s I've seen...something must be wrong with that car.

That's seemingly a really good deal for a factory HGTE. I'm a bit skeptical to be honest. I do want nero but would prefer Cuoio.

    Yes, I own a pristine 98 355 F1 GTS, Nero / Beige. It's not going anywhere.

The 599's chunky looks are a result of EU frontal pedestrian collision regs, which basically mandate a bulbous front end with sufficient crumple zone to minimize pedestrian injury potential should said pedestrian put him/herself in the way of an oncoming vehicle. Must be a real problem over there.

That said, 612 horsepower speaks loudly and the 599 is just a better, more refined, more modern car all around. I think they're a really good deal overall right now, especially one with HGTE. Still, I'd take the timeless, sleek, understated Maranello looks and "last of the gated manuals" cachet any day.

Just finished running through the BJ auction on my DVR. Man, that 575 was stolen. That crema interior, Daytona seats w/ black inserts, the modular wheels...what a spectacular car. Maybe it had some issues that dampened the bidding, or more likely just the wrong crowd bidding (or a combination of the above). Probably some dealer bought it who'll attempt to flip it for a tidy profit. Too bad for the seller...he got screwed. The garish red Pantera that came right after went for like $125K, and it's not 1/2 the car of that 575. Where's the justice in the car auction world?

The F12 is such a leap in every way from the 599 though. Although a Ferrari front engined V12with a detuned Enzo engine, (enuff said), the 599 is one of the many models of Ferrari that seem to be the gap filler between really great, inspiring design. The 458/F12 is where Ferrari began again with the magic. It’s like a 612 with 2 seats. It looks as big as a 72 impala. I drove a buddies 599 and I honestly couldn’t wait to get out of it. The front fenders from the driving position felt, artificially placed or batter said, placed for function only than design.

The good news is that I think that you will see these way sub $100K before too long, but unlike the 550/575 I think the 599 will remain a sub 100K car for a very long time. So that is good news if in the market.

Is the market for 575s and 599s that weak in reality? Or are these 2 cases just anomalies?

I follow the market almost daily and I don't see too many being sold for close to asking.
