I posted pics of Mercedes blistering their tires during FP's......those pics were when track temps were 20 degrees cooler than race day.

Could not be his fault...never. Must have been the team sending him out with tires that were already done when attached by them to the car...Lewis drove a very concentrated race after the pit stop never questioning the pits but fully focused on doing the best for the tires ;)

What's the weather forecast for Silverstone?

In spite of today's Silver Arrows debacle, I would still say they are next week's favorite.

Ktu, whoever you may be, the truth is that you persistently try to ruin the party with your nonsense. Hamilton is NOT superior. You gotta be blind if you didn't see that he wrecked his tyres. Or are you gonna say he got disadvantaged by Pirelli?

We could have won this race, but too many human errors yesterday and today. Also I would have swapped Raikkonen/Vettel in the last lap. Fortunately the Mercedes self-destroyed so we won some time.

To be honest it's rather surprising Mercedes managed to get reliability issues, and on both cars at the same race - seems like they've been pushing too far, maybe they are not that confident with their superiority.
Also really shocking to have only three cars in the same lap, I would have expected more from Haas, Force India and Renault.

You have to be blind to see that if they had pitted him in the first place he would have put the car in cruise mode out front, not having to harm the tires much at all

You must be blind if you don’t realize that when you DNF in 3rd in the middle of the race, it’s still a DNF at the end bruh...go smoke a joint.

I think it was right not to. You cannot expect a driver to continually work for the team if he is always asked to give up his place even when he has the pace. At the end of the season it is a different matter but for now it is much more valuable to give Raikkonen some motivation because they need him on side for the rest of the season.

And when you lead by 14 points you could still put the car into cruise mode easily coming home fourth....but some have to complain and cook the tires instead...great race....a true champion ;)

Just for fun, because i don't expect a (rational) reply, but how do you explain that the greatest driver in the world, while single-handedly recovering from a gross error by his team, and with fresher tires, got passed by an inferior driver like Vettel?

I’d say it’s accurate that the failure to pit during the VSC led to other problems, but the Merc’s looked out of sorts early on. The missed pit was bad, but I think the entire team gave the best they had today.

It wasn’t Merc’s day, simple as that. (understatement)

Great job by Max and Kimi and great recovery by Seb. Last year we were told the Mercedes was the diva, but today I think we saw the diva for 2018 #44#blessed#.

This race was another example supporting my impression that Lewis can only shine when the car and the circumstances are perfect.
When the cars, the tires are suited for the track he gets pole and drives into the sunset but as soon as anything goes wrong he is completely lost. Vettel was criticised for running from pole into the sunset at RB during his WDCs but I do not see any difference with Lewis.
When it really is the time for Lewis to shine because it does not all work to plan he is only whining and complaining. James said it today: they screwed the first pit stop and now it is on Lewis to help them out but he did not deliver at all...
