yup, at least the hard compound. Have'nt used those this season and I doubt they get used. More-so the mediums and soft compound. Like, a 1 stopper would be to start on the softs then pit either VSC/SC or lap 15 thru 20 then end in the mediums....IMO. These are also the "Pirelli-Mercedes" spec tires.
Damn Joe! You don't stop working They are packing up equipment in Austria and you already have the juice on Silverstone Nice work Thank you
I think this is why the result in Spielberg was so important for Ferrari. This is likely to be a walkaway for Mercedes (if their cars don't explode! )
Ferrari is supposed to introduce their aero update at Silverstone. I'm also wondereing about Mercedes spec 2.1 engine's reliability. They held off at Montreal because they were having issues and brought it to Paul Ricard. Then at the RedBull ring both DNF'd mechanically. I'm gonna wait during the race to see what happens with Mercedes.
One more thing on Ferrari: I believe we are still being monitored (batteries). Ever since that started (monitoring) ...... no more plume of smoke coming out of the pits. In fact, all Ferrari cars stopped doing this.
Weather is warm!!! https://weather.com/en-GB/weather/weekend/l/4b5a0b4e9cfb446b0a6ac39492cde189b5ef6308738d4ccd8396022042ff1b60
I´ve noticed that they now they put a hose to suck the smoke when the car is in the pits, so maybe the smoke it´s still there, just that we don´t see it anymore. When the car is on track, it´s still possible to see the smoke coming out from the fog light area.
F1 drivers will have the option of attempting to use DRS through corners in the British GP after a third zone was added on Silverstone's start/finish straight: Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm hoping to get there for Friday if work permits! Weather in the UK is really good at the moment; but we do get some occasional thundershowers due to the heat and humidity (by UK standards that is!!) Good to hear about the DRS zone...one more step to getting rid of them! Might be some drifting going on through the corners
If Mercedes do not have tire management under control for a give compound they might be in trouble here at Silverstone as well. Tires again lol
