    Generations. They differ dramatically. Hamilton makes millions and millions. When he's not racing he can do what many of us only dream - doing whatever one feels like, wherever one feels like, and doing it and in style. I think his "style" is what some people object to. But, do you really expect him to be like anyone else? It's pretty obvious he likes being different. Which brings up the old adage - Why does a dog lick his balls? Because he can.

    I don't think he's an idiot. I don't like what he does either. However, take a look around you and see that values are changing and there are many (way too many) that find what he does as very entertaining. Sorta reminds of my posts...

    Ah yes - those, precious, sacrosanct 'values' of old.

    Lets take a moment, and image if...

    Lewis punched a race marshal...was having sex with random women in the pit garage...or was sleeping in his racecar on the side of the circuit during a official practice session after a previous night's drunking binge. The fallout would be absolutely nuclear and some of the selective moralists here would no doubt be absolutely appalled. "That valueless thug" and all that...

    But alas, Hunt gets to be a 'cheeky lad' etc. etc... :cool:

    We all know that if any of the drivers were to behave like that their license would be revoked immediately and fined 100k before you can say "Lewis isn't going to win the championship this year"...

    If I was an F1 driver, I'd probably be guilty of all that and more. I'm sure some of them do act like that, but a little more privately.

    Fer' instance...knocking something for safety that doesn't slow or equalize the cars....
    (for that matter, it might help in stiffening the chassis)

    Methinks that was fer312t's pernt in essence...today, the paragraph would be true....
    Back in the day, the lone sentence was also true...
    Fun "disallowed" sorta like alcohol and tobacky advertising, even tho' it all still exists. :cool:

    On a more serious note...
    We're just shy of half way thru the season (Germany being dead-centre)....would you care to make a small wager? 'Sometimes makes even the boringest (is that a word?) event a tad more exciting... :)
