The radiator hose on my new (2000 kms) 812 suddenly let go while I was driving on the highway, spilling all the antifreeze in spectacular fashion.
It turned out to be a problem with the hose clamp that holds the lower radiator hose to the engine, just below the front crankshaft pulley. The fitting there is very smooth, and the hose just slipped off given the pressure of the hot cooling fluid. Note the car was operating well within its temperature limits..
New clamp installed by the dealer, but after a few days, I can see the hose trying to slip off again.
Anyone else have a similar issue? Seems like a design problem to me.
( I have heard this may have happened on F12s also). Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I have an 812 as well. I will look to see if the hose clamp is coming loose.

Thank you for the heads up!

Do you think you may just have a short cut hose? The clamp looks good but it doesn't look like the hose originally seats up all the way when attached and then pulls back a little. Some hoses actually use a sealant that stops it from pulling back and leaking but its SUPER tough to replace an old hose after that stuff was used. Maybe have them measure up with a new hose. Maybe also check the seat distance with another 812.

Same problem on my 812. I will have to get a longer hose on there.

I fixed it. It looks as a short hose but is actually a long custom contoured hose. There is plenty there. I removed the original clamp. Cut it off actually and replaced with a new quality clamp that cannot pinch the hose - important as the hose is thin. It's a 15 minute job, easy access once the lower engine cover is removed. But there is that issue. Wow, what a pain, best done with two people as it is awkward being very long and wide.

Thanks for this info, i checked it on my 812, which was delivered in may 2020, even one of the hoses slipped out a few millimeters.
