In my down time, not only did I get some interesting insights, I managed to help another guy defrauded by the chap in London! I’m getting quite the reputation for it! This time he heard my name and started a conversation immediately with the guy having ignored him for two months! Hehehehehe. Timebomb is convinced I’m visiting these people without him and terrorising them!

In case one reads GQ - Lewis Hamilton is "a young man both blessed with good intentions and cursed with a severe lack of guidance", according to the journalist who interviewed him for the latest edition of GQ magazine. (GQ)

Are you out of your mind?
    This interview is a scandal!
    Did you read this sentence:
"Hamilton may have conquered the most white, male, upper class sport in the world, but in the process he’s been vilified by the sporting press and criticised for his lifestyle choices."

Imagine 1 second roles would be inversed (LH being white), and someone would have written:" conquered the most black, male,..." that writer would be prosecuted.and be in big trouble.

What is more, this article says nothing revealing, nothing about the person LH, no background or reasons for his so-called modern, creative fashion. The guy is empty, and that we knew already.

Not a good read. Wasn't very revealing at all, the writer gave us his impressions of Hamilton but very little of the content they actually talked about. Poorly written and uninformative article - all fluff, no substance.

I like good articles even about drivers I'm not a fan of, it's just that this was not one of them.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Most sports are integrated by not all. Lewis is the only person of color in F1 ever. To me that statement is not a insult because if you win a championship you can't attain anything higher as a driver. So yeah you can look at it as you conquered the sport that year. It's just a fact, not intended to downgrade another culture.

It is an insult, it is a racist attitude. The article doesn't say "conquered the sport". It says "conquered most white male" . That is a 100% racist statement.
It is against the law. But of course, racism against whites doesn't exist, right?

Spot on, I've experienced racism towards my own lily-white arse in Fiji from a 19yo Indian girl I quite fancied ...... was told she couldn't be seen with a white man for someone of her status !!!

    Like WTF !!!

So yeah, that article is an insult and should be prosecuted as such

The statement as read it says""Hamilton may have conquered the most white, male, upper class SPORT" which means pertaining to conquering a SPORT. The article puts SPORT at the end of that statement. Yes it's has been white male dominated SPORT so the article is correct in that aspect.

I especially like the part where Horner says "I have never worked with Lewis and I don't know what makes him tick and what doesn't, but it's a fairly bizarre thing to need to do for somebody - to throw themselves under the bus to motivate a driver to go faster from fourth back into the lead"

LOL, Horner rubbing salt in the wound trying to unbalance Elton. He must see an opportunity for Verstappen to seize the moment and launch an assault on the WDC.

Lewis is far from the only person of color in F1. Perhaps the most successful, but not the first or only by a long shot.

The definition of color is very relative.

The only thing I get from the article is that Hamilton has another endorsement deal. Good for him.

    Yawn . . . . Back to racing . . . .

Willy T Ribbs was the first person 'of colour' to test an F1 car (Brabham 1986)

Knew him in '77 when he raced in UK. Had a lot of natural speed, didn't get the drive, but went onto drive lot's of cars in USA.

For a long time, I didn't understand the hatred toward Hamilton. I even suspected racism may have been a component (which I'm sure is true for some) But I see now it's his attitude when things are going badly, he seems to throw his team under the bus instead of being a gracious and forward thinking competitor to the rest of his team-mates.

Horner has a cheap way of attacking opponents. Thats why when Mercedes answer them in the press they always get hammered by Toto.
He can keep talking about Hamilton if he wants but nobody will be fooled on his performance as a team principale for the last 5 years. He’s always quick to run to the media to distract from his team’s poor performance for the last five years.

"distract from his team’s poor performance for the last five years."

What? What poor performance? Please compare Mercedes to any other team in that time span and tell me about this so-called "poor performance". Thanks.

Like I said, Horner is turning the knife in Elton's DNF wound trying to unbalance him and Merc to the benefit of RBR and Max.

In any case, as he admits himself, HAM has benefited from a good run of not only best performance, but also best reliability. And now that there are indications that the Merc superiority in these areas is being eroded, maybe we can expect more episodes like last Sunday.
