most you cats may know me as a joke and fire starter. But seriously , I am not that bad

I had the misfortune of having one of my rides out of service. My wife had one, the kid another. Yay, yay
I was not going to drive a convertible in the heat. I have been driving the 575 as a daily for a while.

Ask me anything. I have taken it to be my daily. I adore it. I will never go back. I drive it every day now for last few months.

    AMA

It is a daily driver. I park it every where and use it daily as a car should

If anyone has questions, or concerns about a daily, I can answer.

    Simple answer, no problems.

    Long answer, buy tires.

I will answer the few I expect first:

Yes, you sometimes get the look at the gas station, my deal is to look at the pump and act a fool. I am a fool

Yes, you may park close at Target, it is a parking spot

Most those guys do not want their Honda a dent either

Yes, you have to talk to the guy at the toll booth when you are looking for coin

Yes, chicks know you have a tiny dick

It is just a car, get over it

And , yes. I always get that question about Rod Stewart and the hole in his headliner.

I can assure you, I saw him recently,

I have every reason to believe it is true, Dude rocks at 74.. I believe he actually made a chick in a Daytona or whatever the story

Well I see you are Au. I would have a cheeky reply as normal, but I plan to keep this real. I play myself rugby, but that is the ?

The hard part as a daily in the sticks is the nose. You forget how far that sucker sticks out. I have hit a few parking control and bruised it up a bit. Nothing that is serious more than road rash. That crap is easy to spray as any front chips. Never any damage. Just paint chip.

You will be surprised how low that cr is when daily. Pick up road crap. Just normal crap.

I stopped washing my car. I was in St Tropez last month and saw a couple 575 at the beach with window down and surfboards

The most serious thing is going into and out of parking garage is to make sure you can clear bottom.

You will always clip a plastic underself

    Otherwise: ask away

First: I by no means endorsing this as a hobby

Secondly: yes I actually do take meticulous care of my car. I am just being real. It pisses me off when you guys want to jack off in your ride. I just want to answer any questions that new guys want to know.

My daily is a Tacoma limited PU truck. My wife's daily an Acura mdx. Driving a Ferrari 575 or any other FERRARI is an event we look forward to. Would not want it to just become a daily driver even though a great one. It would become less special to us with daily usage and less of an event. Then again if we had dozens of them to switch between as daily drivers each would be its own event. Gts Bruce

Bruce- My 575M is an event whenever I drive her. Every day. She loves it, too, rather than gathering dust in a garage.

I have been out of any Email service for a few days.

Did not know you used yours as a daily.

Good for you. Only reason I started this thread was because a lot of people used to ask if it was feasible.

Never mind. I was just going to give simple answers if anyone searches.

    Good for all you guys.

I will tell you, I drove 911s as daily for years. I mean oil cooled.

The main problem I have with both old Porsches, but less the 575, is I am constantly driving from courthouse to courthouse.

Getting into and in out of sports cars, and riding on z rated tires takes a toll on your back.

I am constantly in and out, in and out of the car, then rushing to another court.

Sounds fun for the first few years. Try 30 and your back starts to feel it.

We met on Browns Island years ago. I love your car. I remember when you installed the air bag switch for you to have a car seat.

Your 575 is the only true manual stick I have seen. Good for you.

It is all fun and games to drive any real sports car as a daily driver.

Once you reach a certain age, it becomes a chore if you have to deal with it physically. Just telling the truth.

    Enjoy it while you can

Compared to my old Dino, getting in and out of a 575 is a snap. Helps being 5'7", too, just like it helped flying fighters, too.

    I am 6’1”.

But I am 6’4” when I am standing on my penis

( sorry could not help it, it is an old joke my grandpa used to use)

    He had another:

Tell folks you want to die in your sleep like your old grandpa, not like the other 3 guys in the car he was driving
