Lol. [emoji2] No way, I love my old Crocs! Those are my back yard crocs; I wear them for walking the dog, grilling & smoking, watering the garden. I know a scientist at a national lab who wore Crocs to work. They were color coded for that days threat level - red, orange, yellow, etc. T
They’re a variety of dumplings. Veggie, pork and chicken if I recall. On the menu as “momo”. The place was called Yak and Yeti. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I tried crocs. I like the idea and they would make great yard wear, but they made me tend to fall backwards too often. Hence, I’m a five fingers guy. Tonight's a light salad. Pasta, cucumber, carrot and kale, coconut vinegar, lemon juice, sunflower oil. Trying to eat healthier (less fried/more raw, indole 3 carbonyl, and high silicon plants-i.e. cucurbits) to help with necrosis and more quickly heal some ribs. Dang Skateboarders!
Yak & Yeti! How did I miss that?!? As my wife will tell ya, I'm obsessed with sasquatches & yetis! [emoji2] Must be Nepalese with a name like that. Gotta get back to Napa...T
You take a header on your board, Ron? Indole 3 carbinol. Very geeky! [emoji851]Was working on something similar to that today. No N and O though. Decidedly not organic! [emoji41] Image Unavailable, Please Login Had angel hair pasta with homemade tomato sauce. Alas, no pictures of the final product as I was preoccupied taking pictures of the dog eating pasta! Yes Tom, hit a small twig I think, after a recent bushing/truck adjustment. It might have been wheel bite too, where the board rubs a wheel and stops you dead. It best to thoroughly sort out any changes before taking off. I see I forgot the pic.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ouch. Sorry to hear that, Ron. I had a skateboard as a kid. Hit a small rock going down a steep street. The board stopped, I didn't! Hope you're healed up soon. The salad looks tasty...T
Ouch.... I had skateboards as a teenager, but never hurt myself seriously on them. I was more into wind surfing. Well another COPD support group today. By the time it gets out and I drive to my favorite Japanese restaurant, its after 4pm. So that will be dinner as well as a late lunch...…………
My mother canceled her COPD group today. So now I have a day of nothing going on! I might head across the border for something to do. Have Panda Express for lunch...….. I'll see if my parents want to go for Japanese tonight. Nurse is on grave yard at work. Chiropractor has other plans tonight.
That's what happens, Max, when you limit yourself to only 2 women! Actually, I too am a bachelor tonight. Wife is out on the town with her gal pals, and the dog & I are left to fend for ourselves. Am thinking leftover skirt steak as I just remembered I have one ear of corn left! T
Some nice pork chops ....civeche, shrimp salad .. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Chow down and plant yourself in front of the TV with the dog and watch shows she doesn’t like. My wife cringes with How it’s Made. Have small strip steaks and veggies for the BGE tonight. About time to start cooking.
[emoji2] Great idea, except I only watch TV when there are severe storms in the area. Right now we're watching this crazy band of severe storms move east to west up near the Red River. Image Unavailable, Please Login Not bad reheated. The corn was good! T
That looks good. Love leftovers. TV time is minimal here too. Maybe an hour or so of something recorded. Wasting so much money for 1000 channels with not much on. Used to justify it for F1 but Sky is unwatchable. So boring. And FiOS dropped The Weather Channel a while ago and I do miss watching the ridiculous theatrics they put into any storm.
Small strips. Just ok and nothing close to Cassie’s. Veggies were good. Rosemary and chives from the herb garden on top. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I just got back from my Southern shopping trip. At least our border isn't collecting our new tariffs. Guess its just on commercial imports. Now watching UFC with my dad...… We are getting sushi/sashimi take out. I'm running up in a minute to pick it up.
That Halibut looks great. One of my favorite fish, right behind Ling cod. What all was in the "sauce" under it, looks like mushrooms, peas, is that pea plant leaves or nasturtium? Looks good whatever it is!!! Actually the other two dishes look good too. I'm not a big cauliflower fan but that looks pretty tasty.
I think you nailed the sauce ingredients. There was a butter based sauce with chives too I believe. Truly one of - if not the - best fish dishes I've had. Dropping names, I mentioned to my gf at the dinner that the dish was as good as anything at the French Laundry (their fish dishes are fantastic).
New neighbor invited us over for a casual dinner outside tonight. We took Ania's signature potato salad with cumin... And dessert. We made strawberry shortcake since it is close to July 4th and that dessert takes me back to childhood July 4th block parties. Borrowed from several online recipes and made everything from scratch (the biscuits, the berry syrup, the macerated berries and the whipped cream). Was surprisingly easy to make and (honestly) perhaps the best homemade dessert I've ever had (let alone made). Sentimental return trip to childhood on a plate. Drew raves from our new acquaintances we made tonight and we will be making this again this summer for sure. (let me know if anyone wants the recipe) Image Unavailable, Please Login
^That looks awesome. I thought making strawberry shortcake from biscuits was a Southern thing. I can't recall seeing it that way before living in Memphis. Up in NYC, my aunt made it from angel food cake...T
Looks great, and very artistically plated. Wife is already making noise that she wants to double our raised bed garden in size next year. Can't beat fresh! R
Not on this trip. The store is in the next town over from the one I was in. Mostly wanted gas. Gas here is $4.99 US per gallon again. With my Safeway discount I paid $2.99 US per gallon. Savings too hard to pass up!
