I agree...Sky analyzed it and it was great, opportunistic driving. Kimi ran a little wide in Turn 6 because of the Merc dirty air, Max immediately took extra curb in the same corner to not be affected....this all meant he could get on throttle earlier, got his nose alongside in a very unusual spot, and had the softest of touches. It's obvious they touched but even from the onboard it's tough to see. Some here are making it seem Verstappen full on barged into Kimi...give up! Great race from both Kimi and Max. Ferrari a bit easier on tyres, and Max countered that by really managing the tyres in T9 and T10. It felt similar to Spain 2016 this.

Jos has a fathers pride in the son. Yes fine. Max is a human being and must evolve and will as an F1 racer and that might be more mistakes in the process. Arrogant nobody Jos is.
He's had great races since his FP3 Monaco mistake. But on the whole I agree with your point, demanding no one question his driving style ever again is a rather stupid request, what if he starts driving like Maldonado? I think people would be right to question.
One must wonder whether Max is bringing a “new” style to F1 racing; that is, take far more chances at contact than in the past, because you can do so without quite the risk of death or serious injury as before. He definitely can gain more advantage that way. An example is the Austrian GP, where his contact with Kimi, shoved Kimi out of a position. But the same risk-taking has cost Max positions and DNFs. When and if he can show that the risks are outweighed by the rewards, we may see more drivers adopt his style. Sure, Jos, we'll just give Max a free pass from now on just because he won a race. At this point, I'll be more impressed when Max finishes a race without any contact. Jos is living vicariously through his son, as Max has a ton more talent than pops ever did.
Pops in F1 drove rings around drivers with better cars when it rained. Pops just like Max won everything in karts, including races which featured M.Schumacher. Pops won LeMans without even trying. Pops is underestimated and a better driver than all the Coulthards, Bergers, Alesi's and whatnot's.
Le Mans. When ? That's debatable. Why no team kept him and he couldn't get a drive in F1 anymore, if he was that good? I have never heard that team managers were fighting to recruit Jos.

Winning LeMans is debatable ? interesting. Maybe because he wasn't "BRITISH" (less fashionable these days even spoken with a BREXIT thonque ), had sponship from Dekra, but Flavio probably rather burning said money through his nose instead of investing it into the car.
Why ? Jos Verstappen is highly rated in the real world of motor racing, a hot head yes, but a very good driver.
Can you stop bringing BREXIT into every conversation? You're not clever and has absolutely ZERO to do with the subject. Jos was a good driver, a great starter. Sure, not the best and had a few high profile mistakes. The reason why teams didn't fight for him was because there where other drivers that where near the same level of talent but brought more money. Don't forget the cigarette companies at the time all wanted either a driver of their own nationality or a champion. Jos was sacked from Benetton as he was massively struggling against Schumacher, but his replacements all had the same problem. Quick driver, but unlucky. (Jean Eric Vergne anyone)
Not sure how one could come to that conclusion. Max has already achieved more in the short amount of time he's been in F1 than pops ever did. Max immediately got snatched up by a top team, whereas pops never did.
No, I didn't say winning Le Mans was debatable, unless I expressed myself badly. But I would like to know when Jos Versappen "won" Le Mans, because I checked and cannot find his name in the list of winners. But what is debatable is your statement that "the Boss" was better driver than Coulthard, Berger or Alesi. I know that appreciation is by nature purely subjective, but I cannot recall Jos being much in demand among the top teams after leaving Benetton. He mostly drove "back of the field" cars and didn't get much success either, as opposed to the " drivers you mentioned.
Yep...replaced by Herbert if Memory serves. I think they overestimated how good Schumacher was . That said I believe Herbert to be the superior driver Jos was, even with his wobbly legs! Jos had an amazing young career in F3 but made the jump to big boy seat too quickly. Maybe time in a smaller team would've suited him better, I don't know if teams judged him on his early performance in the big boy seat or not. In any case, F1 (and even junior series) is full of ''he beat so and so, thus he was clearly F1 champion material''. Max is the superior of Jos, consistent, quick, adapted to the spotlight very quickly. Yes he's made some mistakes, but it seems he's tackled them.
+1 As Bas and myself have stated previously, Max is a multiple WDC in waiting. His advantage is he is in no rush, and is authentically stamping his mark as he learns.
