How long do you reckon it'll take to fix, and what are you going to do with it after that?

 

front clip and bonnet around $20k from Zag, bumper another $2-3k. Paintjob I'd say $10k+ but who knows. Add in whatever else may need replacing/doing and $$$ quickly get out of control.

 

I just can't see it being anywhere near as little as $30-40k...but what do I know.

 

you may be right - there's a reason why this car was totalled.

if you're serious, first step is to get the VIN and the club can tell you if we know it's history. If not in the club, you need to track the previous owners and the people who serviced it. History is more important than price. If the car checks out, then see what deal you can do. The dealer will have paid about $160K for the car.

 

Could have been an uninsured repo.

 

Thanks Ian great advice it’s a lovely car and would last a long time if it’s good I’m thinking perhaps it’s a smart buy long term ie mileage service costs ,but it’s a big leap and at the moment a discussion with my wife, again all great advice Cheers

F430 spyders do look very smart in giallo fly.

 

Adrian also give Pierre a call.....He knows a lot of cars to stay away from as he deals with a lot of headaches from the south if you know what I mean........

 

The headache from the south is currently banned

 

I thought he was back?.......,.ahh well at least we'll get some peace for a bit longer.....I can cut down on my headache pills now......

Could have taken it for a test drive

 

Yep it looks great and at 33 thou on the clock plenty of life in the drivetrain for years, no cambelts great F1 system and 100 more horses (of course I’d never fully use that kind of power on the public roads ..what’s not to like, It would be very nice.
