Meet up with 3 other FerrariChat members with your car, and ask them to kindly vouch for you as a Ferrari owner to tifosi12. After you take out a paid subscription (Silver, Rossa, Classified, or Sponsor), he can then arrange for access to the Owners' Forum and that'll give you the tag. All the best, Andrew.
What the heck ? Andrew , I had to pay PAP 10,000$ to get an “owner” button. It was because he said I was special and qualified for the reduced owner price.
Oh, yeah, well, that was the rarely applied, and very special, Champion Fisherman's Loophole. All the best, Andrew.
$10K? Was That AUD or USD? "The pheasants are beneath me." - SoCal to az "I have very few pet peeves in life . . . " - PeterS "Change is inedible" - fc2
I had asked this too... Have had my testarossa for 10 + years, listed as an owner in the owners section... then with this new upgrade I am no longer an owner... What's up with that? Rob, can you fix this? Bo
That was USD $ wired from Sarasota to Atlanta to Grand Cayman to Isle of Man to Luxembourg to Nigeria to Australia to PAP.
Has anyone heard from Tifosi lately? I sent him a PM two weeks ago and haven't received a reply yet. Hope he is ok.
And where's my cut? I don't mean the kind of cut that goes on a gyro, either - last time that that thing was rotten by the time it got here. Surprisingly tasty, but that's beside the point "The pheasants are beneath me." - SoCal to az "I have very few pet peeves in life . . . " - PeterS "Change is inedible" - fc2
To address the original question: Have you spent at least 15% of your net worth on your Ferrari? If you haven't, poseur.
I have been here almost 15 years, and I have never had the owners tag. I think it is a nice thing but for me it is not necessary, I know what I've owned, and that is fine with me.
Burns, TN isn’t exactly a hotbed for Ferrari ownership, so I don’t know any other local Ferrari owners or Ferrarichat members. Couldn’t a simple PM with copy of DL and current registration be sufficient?
How far are you from Nashville? There’s a few FChatters there, I believe. Go to a Cars And Coffee, meet some new friends, see some nice cars, and you’ll have more than enough members to vouch for you.
For what it’s worth, I just took a quick look in the South Central forum and there are two threads in the first page mentioning the CNC in Franklin, and a recent get together / rally.
I’m just west of Nashville. I took my Ferrari to the Cool Springs C&C once and enjoyed it, but definitely don’t get out there often. I’ll check the regional threads and see if I can meet up with a group sometime. I know there is also a Ferrari Club meeting at the Factory in Franklin a couple of times a year, but I haven’t made it to that one yet. I guess the moral of the story is I need to get out more.
I appreciate the heads up. I had collapsed the regional forums because in the past there had been very little middle TN content. However, I just took a look and see that has changed, so thanks!
I was considering a job in Nashville a few years back. So perhaps it says something about me that one of the first things I did was to map out the distance to nearby racetracks, and check out the local car scene. I passed on the job, but I do recall thinking that there was a decent amount of car stuff up that way.
I think the "Owner" tag is a feature that has the potential to be useful. I would really appreciate being able to tell at a glance if a post if by an owner or not. But as it is, the feature is underutilized because it is too difficult to secure. As a result, it isn't useful on the forum. I would encourage a change in the registration system that would make it easy for all owners to be tagged. I can't imagine there are many people who would falsely claim ownership. Emailing a copy of a car's registration would handle that in any event, I would think. But any change that would encourage all owners to use the "Owner" tag would make the forum more useful, in my opinion.
